Initially this role will report to the VP of Capex & Scale Up. Once the plant is commissioned this role will report to the General Manager of Operations. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Plant Commissioning & Startup Partner with the CapEx and Scale-Up Development teams to transition the facility from construction to operational readiness. Oversee installation, shakedown, and commissioning of process systems for both liquid hydrolysate and chitosan production. Develop startup plans, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials for new operators and technicians. Lead initial production trials, ensuring product specifications are met and performance data is captured for process optimization. Establish the foundation for a seamless handoff to steady-state operations and alignment with the General Manager of Operations. Job Summary: The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for the quality aspects of production by Metalforms through all phases to completion. Daily interactions with Metalforms Engineering, Customer representatives, Project Managers, ASME Authorized Inspector, suppliers, etc., to ensure each project is completed in accordance with the project requirements, and applicable Code requirements. Tasks & Responsibilities: Work with production and as necessary, Engineering, to ensure project and quality requirements are understood and complied. Review and become knowledgeable on each project scope of work, specifications, material types, special process requirements, etc. Review Inspection & Test Plans to proactively engage with Metalforms production leads and customer representatives to promote seamless execution of all required witness and hold points of each designated activity. Conduct inspections and audits across all stages of production, including visual and dimensional checks, NDE, testing, paint and final inspection. Progressively assembling the manufacturing and inspection documentation for the creation of the Final Data Books. Participate in Pre-Fabrication Meetings with the project management team, subcontractors, and customers as needed. Review and confirm material and material test reports are in compliance with ASME Code, applicable customer specifications and other relevant project documents and standards. Attend production meetings. Review job package documentation for accuracy and completeness. Assist other Quality department personnel as needed. Competencies: Good organizational and multi-task skills. Working experience with ASME Code & Standards. Skilled in applying Inspection & Test Plans, procedures, work instructions, manufacturing standards, and material test reports while confirming compliance with customer specifications and ASME Code requirements. Experience in review and comprehension of Customer and Project specific specifications and standards. Well Versed in Microsoft office tools and programs Excellent communication skills with customers and those who support/rely on your role.
