Stan Sokolowski is Senior Portfolio Manager and Deputy Chief Investment Officer at CIFC Asset Management. Stan has a broad range of investment management skills and experience in private and public credit markets. He is a proven and consistent money maker in a variety of market environments. Stan has invested and traded across the spectrum of credit including high yield to investment grade as well as distressed and stressed credit, fixed and floating rate instruments, bonds, loans, CDS and index products.At CIFC, Stan is the lead portfolio manager for CIFC’s total return products. He is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee and Operating Committee. He is responsible for the day to day management of the trading desk, overseeing the risk exposures of the business and is accountable for executing CIFC’s investment strategy.Prior to CIFC, Stan was a portfolio manager and trader with Lucidus Capital Partners. Lucidus is a credit trading firm that was spun out of Caxton Associates. Preceding the spin-off of Lucidus, he was a portfolio manager at Caxton Associates for five years. Before joining Caxton in 2006, Stan was a Managing Director with JPMorgan where he founded and managed the European par and distressed loan trading business based in London. Stan joined Manufacturers Hanover in 1991 after graduating from Michigan State University with a degree in finance. He completed Chemical Bank’s MBA Capital Markets and Credit Training Program in 1994. While at JPMorgan, Stan held various positions in New York and London in the Capital Markets, Sales and Trading, Investment Banking and Emerging Markets businesses.
