Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This position is a full-time position that may require long hours and weekend work or after-hours duty. Work schedule may vary based on supply and demand.

Drives truck and trailer equipped to pick up and then deliver masonry, hardscape, and other building materials to specific sites by performing the following duties.
Reports repair needs identified during pre-trip and post-trip inspections to management.
Assists yard operations by helping in loading of materials and operating equipment.
Obtain required repairs; ensuring truck is safe to operate in accordance with DOT regulations and company policy.
Cross check and confirm all materials loaded match the ticket for delivery.
Display professional and courteous attitude with customers, vendors, and coworkers at all times.
Product knowledge to assist and inform customers.
Adequately secures load prior to leaving loading area.
Delivers load by identifying destinations; establishing route; operating the truck; maintaining schedule.
Transportation of the load to its required destination in a safe and timely manner by driving in and out of areas with heavy pedestrian traffic, various obstacles, and road driving conditions.
Move levers to lower and tilt forks driving forklift into position to pick up pallets and other materials.
Move levers and pedals to raise and tilt mast when loaded to placing material into its designated row, onto the bed of a trailer, or in the bed of a truck.
Operate company equipment as needed, which may include but not limited to, tractor, forklift, and other company vehicles or equipment.
Delivery of the load and the timely removal of the product from the trailer to the destination site.
Moves levers, pedals, or controls as needed to complete the delivery of the load.
Consistently greasing, cleaning, and oiling equipment.
Monitors truck and other company equipment to ensure appearance, safety and proper maintenance levels.
Keeps proper records and documents daily activities.
Cleans truck and trailer after delivery.
Maintains high level of customer service.
Physical Requirements
Physical demand requires Moderate level work:
Exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or
Up to 40 pounds of force frequently, and/or
A negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
Other physical/work conditions may include but not be limited to.
Must possess a current Medical Card as required by Department of Transportation (DOT) Regulations as approved by the Company
Consistently reaching above shoulders to climb into and out of equipment, strapping down, climbing ladder, loading materials, and various job specific tasks repetitively throughout work period.
Constantly required to hear sounds, and have clarity of near, far, and peripheral sight with depth perception
Perform duty in working conditions where sounds and noise levels require hearing protection;
Perform work in conditions that may also include contaminants, hazardous equipment, hazardous situations
Perform work that requires pushing, lifting, pulling, or carrying objects; use of abdominal and lower back muscles to provide physical support to operations as needed.
Perform work in areas where hazardous conditions can exist where employees are to be observant of not being caught in, on, or under machinery and/or equipment. Work areas may include the operation of forklifts maneuvering throughout the work area. Finished materials being lifted overhead and placed on trailers or within designated storage areas.
Lift heavy objects and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse conditions. (Refer to physical functional analysis for this job classification.)
Employees are required to wear hard hats, safety glasses and heavy protection steel-toed boots.
The employee will be required to bend, twist the body, and make repetitive motions.

About the Role:
The Class A CDL Retail Route Driver plays a critical role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods across designated routes, primarily operating within and around Baton Rouge, LA. The driver will be responsible for maintaining the vehicle in optimal condition, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and reporting any mechanical issues promptly. Effective communication with dispatchers, customers, and team members is essential to coordinate schedules and resolve any delivery challenges. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to customer satisfaction and the overall success of the logistics operation by ensuring reliable and professional transportation services. This position is a safety-sensitive position and requires a clear mind and diligence. The employee has the responsibility for his/her safety as well as the safety of others.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Valid Class A CDL (self-certified as Non-Excepted Interstate with issuing state).
* Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and Pre-Employment Screening Program (PSP) report.
* Must be at least 23 years old with 2 years of verifiable full-time tractor-trailer experience,
OR
21 years old with 1 year of tractor-trailer experience, if:
