SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES * Following established cleaning standards, ensuring the proper chemical is used on each surface. * Maintaining the highest housekeeping standards established for Lodge Kohler * Being responsible for proper use and care of cleaning tools assigned to you such as squeegees, sticky rollers etc. * Being responsible for understanding assignment board, making a note of early arrivals, late departures, VIPs, special requests etc. * Ensuring all stay over rooms must be cleaned to meet stay over requirements to include personalizing of room, and all checkout rooms must be cleaned to meet hotel standard This is a part-time position, shifts are from 8:00am-4:30pm varying on weekdays and weekends. Skills/Requirements * Must be 18 years or older to apply * Prior hotel/lodging experience is helpful, but not necessary * Candidate must tolerate being on their feet for the majority of the day and must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future. This position is responsible for providing and maintaining a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for members of the College community and the public. The hours are Monday through Friday from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm. Specific responsibilities: Maintain cleanliness of academic and/or housing areas (approximately 1-3) according to standards set by the Manager of Housekeeping. This includes vacuuming, dusting, washing and wiping surfaces, wet and dry mopping, emptying garbage and recycling baskets, cleaning windows, cleaning bathroom fixtures, and picking up small trash items. Perform deep cleaning during summer months, including shampooing carpeted and upholstered areas, stripping, scrubbing, diamond-buffing, and refinishing hard floors, as well as cleaning behind appliances and furniture. Set up, breakdown, and clean areas for special events such as graduation and summer conference programs. Provide cleanup when unexpected emergencies occur on campus, such as water or human damage. Communicate any unsafe conditions, building needs, missing equipment and furniture, damaged college property, expired fire extinguishers, and community requests to supervisors and/or Managers of Housekeeping. Shovel entrances of assigned buildings when needed during hours of work. Maintain a stock of cleaning supplies and equipment for the individual work area at all times. Monitor operation of cutting or slicing machines to detect malfunctions or to determine whether supplies need replenishment. Safely operating overhead crane. Operate a forklift to help unload steel trucks when a delivery is made and put the materials away in the designated racks. Maintains an organized and clean work area. Other duties as assigned.     Description: Housekeeper REPORTS TO: Executive Director JOB SUMMARY: Housekeepers are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of residents' rooms and common areas as assigned by the Executive Director. This position is responsible for representing Frontida well and promoting its culture. DUTIES: The Housekeeper will be responsible for the below job duties including but not limited to: Represent Frontida with professionalism, always embracing Frontida's culture, which includes “treating others as you would like to be treated.” Sort dirty laundry to ensure soiled items, housekeeping items, kitchen items, and resident items are laundered separately Complete laundry process including washing, drying, folding/hanging up and putting away all items, including bedding, towels, resident clothing, napkins, and tablecloths Maintain the laundry area to ensure a clean and organized work area Uses equipment and cleaning chemicals properly and safely in accordance with guidelines Monitor equipment and laundry supplies and report information to Executive Director Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers Respect and implement resident preferences and requests Reports any equipment irregularities to Executive Director Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices All other duties as assigned by the Executive Director/House Manager In addition to my duties as outlined above I understand that I am expected to uphold Frontida's values in my day-to-day activities.
