The Raytheon Mechanical Engineering (ME) Organization leads the mechanical hardware design, development and production of radar, sonar, torpedo, and combat system equipment. The Air Defense Ground Equipment (ADGE) Department leads mechanical design, development, and integration of platform systems. This includes shelter systems, hardware integration, cable & interconnections, as well as facility development, and site integration. The department is comprised of individuals with technical expertise and experience in hardware design, integration, and production support.
The ADGE department is looking for a full-time Mechanical Engineer II - Design Engineer, located in Tewksbury, MA (Onsite).
As a Mechanical Engineer II/Design Engineer you will support the design and development of rugged military electronics, transition product to production and provide sustainment support to operations and supply chain. You will participate as an integral member of a mechanical or cross functional team and will perform component/assembly modeling and documentation generation, release, and change incorporation. An explicit requirement of the MEII role is the growth of your design and problem-solving skills in support of product development and manufacturing.
This is an onsite role.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Design:
Investigate and resolve change requests from manufacturing or suppliers
Development of rework and/or modification procedures
Teaming/Communication:
Interface with other engineering disciplines, non-technical disciplines, and suppliers to develop design solutions and resolve technical challenges.
Work with limited supervision and meet commitments for assigned schedule, financial, and technical goals.
Support and participate in design peer reviews, resolving action items, and conduct trade studies to make sound technical decisions.
Mentor and guide less experienced engineers.
Qualifications You Must Have:
2 years Mechanical Engineering experience, preferably in the design of hardware for use in Military environments.
Experience with concept definition through detailed design, transition to production, and production support.
Experience with 3D CAD design tools and related product data management tools.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
ADI's Aerospace and Defense Module Product Line has an open position for a Mechanical Design Engineer. Working on new technology development, you will design cutting-edge integrated modules and subsystems for phased array radar systems.
In this position, you will work in a collaborative team environment and interface with electrical designers, process engineers, program managers, and production assembly through all program phases from research through design and production.
Job responsibilities include:
Lead mechanical design of electronic hardware which incorporates RF modules, control electronics, power systems, cabling, and cooling. Hands-on use of 3D CAD system for rapid development.
Apply Systems Engineering principles, performing requirements analysis and trade-study on ADI platform designs for industrial markets.
Development and integration of cooling solutions, including analysis of liquid cooling through computational fluid dynamics (CFD) with Ansys Fluent. Steady-state and transient thermal analysis from the IC gate level to rack-sized systems.
Collaborate with engineers, and other employee disciplines across multiple ADI design center locations.
Prepare design review documentation packages for presentation at customer design review meetings. Lead mechanical design review content and support internal and external design reviews.
Design of innovative mechanical packaging solutions for surface mount technology (SMT) and complex multi-chip-module (MCM) assemblies, working in close collaboration with manufacturing, RF, and digital engineers.
Perform system level structural analysis to ensure reliable operation over wide ranges of environmental conditions.
Prepare and collaborate on design and fabrication documentation for SMT, printed wiring assemblies (PWAs) and mechanical assemblies. Work with suppliers and our factory on product build and test. Support outsourced SMT manufacturing processes.
Proposal research and preparation including cost and schedule estimates.
Envision and develop innovative new materials, components, and processes to advance design capabilities in new markets.

The SES AI Hermes team is seeking an exceptional Cell Product Design Engineer to serve as an expert in pouch-type Li-ion battery design and NPI (New Product Introduction) processes. Cell Design & Lifecycle Management
Lead the technical design of pouch-type Li-ion battery cells, focusing on applications for EV (Electric Vehicle) and ESS/UAM (Energy Storage Systems/Urban Air Mobility).
Manage the complete battery product lifecycle, from initial concept and prototype development through validation and successful mass production scale-up.
