Work Schedule & Location
This is a full-time position averaging approximately 38-42 hours/week. Work hours are primarily between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. Position Summary / What You'll Do
As a Roadway Designer, you will use ORD to prepare and deliver roadway plan sets, incorporating engineering inputs and ensuring compliance with DOT and local standards. Responsibilities / Day-to-Day
Use ORD to prepare plan/drawing sets: alignments, grading, profiles, cross sections, typical sections.
Create roadway plan sheets, design details, utility adjustments, drainage crossings, etc.
Work with roadway engineers to incorporate technical inputs (slope, drainage, earthwork).
Prepare geometry, construction staging, and MOT (maintenance of traffic) details as needed.
Review drawings for compliance with DOT / local standards; check for constructability and clarity.
Revise drawings based on internal, team, or agency review.
Assist in coordinating with other disciplines (utilities, structural, traffic) for integrated deliverables.
Qualifications
Required:
Associate's or technical degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting, or equivalent.
Prior experience using ORD, preferably in roadway design.
Competence in CAD/Civil 3D/ORD; strong drafting fundamentals.
Knowledge of roadway design standards and DOT guidelines.
Good visual and technical communication skills.
Preferred:
Experience collaborating on multi-disciplinary projects (utilities, traffic, structures).
Exposure to construction-phase support or field verification of design deliverables.

+ Detail electrical sensors for conveyors and equipment following company standards and guidance from engineers and management.
