Coordinate with other internal engineering disciplines to achieve successful, functional and innovative designs for our clients. Coordinate with other building disciplines (architectural, structural, electrical, civil, etc.) to ensure compatibility with the design intent. Assists with the development of job specific discipline specifications. Perform field survey to document existing conditions and/or observation of construction activities. Engages in the development of a design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats. Performs and oversees the performance of calculations using company standard software, and proprietary manufacturer software. Preparation of Contract Documents using Revit and AutoCAD software. Create technical drawings, plans, and specifications for review by Sr. Engineer Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractors Ensure project timelines are met, and project stays within budget Able to travel (Light travel for project meetings/site observations). Qualifications for Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering EIT/PE a plus 5+ years' experience designing plumbing and fire protection systems, Mission Critical design experience a plus Strong computer skills and skilled in software typically used in plumbing/fire protection design (i,e. hydraulic calculations).
