What You'll Do
50% Design: Create custom residential home and accessory building designs using hand sketches, SoftPlan CAD, and future tools like SketchUp and Revit.
15% Selections & Estimating: Guide clients through materials selections and communicate budgets, costs, and final choices to project teams.
10% Sales Support: Conduct initial consultations, follow-ups, and lead qualification.
10% Cabinet Design: Prepare cabinet layouts and orders using 2020 Kitchen & Bath software.
10% Vendor Coordination: Build relationships with suppliers, track product changes and availability, and stay current on material and style trends.
5% Showroom Management: Maintain samples, displays, and a welcoming client space.
What We're Looking For
Education in architecture or interior design (degree or formal training).
Experience in residential construction is a plus.
CAD proficiency (Revit, SoftPlan, SketchUp, 2020 preferred).
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, customer service mindset, and basic budgeting/math ability.
Willingness to visit job sites, meet vendors, lift up to 25 lbs, and occasionally learn alongside carpenters.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB ACTIVITIES

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design (or similar degree).
EXPERIENCE 7+ plus years of design experience with injection molded plastic products. A basic understanding of injection molding principles. Proven project management experience from initial product planning and scope definition through delivery to customers.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES SolidWorks, Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator. Must be open-minded, team-oriented, clear communicator, with excellent analytical and critical thinking skills. Responsibilities
* Develop Revit model families for general and project-specific needs.
* Produce shop drawings, submittal drawings, as-built drawings, and other necessary documents.

What Will You Do?
Under the direction of the Engineering Team Lead, the Mechanical Designer will lead the design and development of mechanical components and electro-mechanical systems. This individual will execute multiple simultaneous projects and collaborate with teams on larger projects. Projects can range from new product development, line extensions, product improvements, change requests, and product cost reduction efforts.
Essential Responsibilities:
Create part and assembly models and drawings utilizing configuration modeling techniques.
Manage design files and documentation and create product structures in manufacturing ERP/MRP system.
Understand the critical interactions and design characteristics which ensure robust system performance.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to ensure designs are feasible and cost effective.
