Diagnosis and repair automation and controls equipment of various types, including but not limited to DCS input/output modules, stand-alone PLC systems and associated communication equipment. Ensuring field devices, instrumentation systems, communication networks, data management and interfaces work properly. Conduct programming and equipment inspections of PLC and DCS equipment. KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS 4+ years hands on experience as a diesel technician preferably with dealership experience. Navistar Engine, Cummins Engine Certification preferred. Flat rate experience preferred. ASE Certification preferred. Diagnostic skill/experience & attention to detail. Considerable knowledge of the design, adjustment, operations, maintenance, and repair of diversified mechanical and electrical equipment including light, medium, and heavy gas and diesel engines. Journey level skills in the use of mechanical tools, material, and testing equipment (manual, technical, and computerized). CDL License Preferred. Bilingual Skills Preferred.
