About the Role
This position focuses on the installation, startup, and servicing of Direct Digital Control (DDC) and Building Automation Systems used for HVAC, energy management, and building performance. You'll work closely with mechanical teams, electricians, and facility operators to ensure systems run efficiently and meet project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Install, terminate, and configure BAS/DDC control systems
Perform commissioning, functional testing, and system verification
Troubleshoot issues involving controllers, sensors, actuators, and networks
Install low-voltage wiring, conduit, panels, and field devices
Assist with BAS programming edits, logic adjustments, and graphics updates
Support mechanical startup for HVAC equipment including RTUs, VAVs, AHUs, boilers, and chillers

Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience as a BAS Controls Technician, Controls Installer, or HVAC Controls Specialist

**Essential Functions:**
+ Understand the basic principles of troubleshooting and be proficient at reading and interpreting complex electrical schematics and wiring diagrams used for troubleshooting as related to manufacturing production equipment
+ PLC programming experience
+ PLC's (Allen Bradley RSLogix 500, RS Logix5000, Factory Talk View), Functional knowledge with Servo drives, feedback systems, encoders, relay logic control systems
+ Experience with equipment operating at 5VDC through 575VAC Three Phase systems
+ Perform preventative maintenance on a variety of production and facility equipment
+ Repair malfunctioning production equipment/machinery and notify appropriate personnel
+ Using multi-meters, amp meters and ohmmeters, troubleshoot AC/DC/VFD/servo motors, motor controllers, PLC's and rewire/ identify/replace failed components to include: motors, drives, drive boards, I/O boards, switches, transformers, contractors, relays and fuses
+ Programs PLC's and VFD motors as required
+ Able to read and interpret work orders and owner's manuals
+ Basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems as related to troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing production equipment
+ Knowledge of how to use hand tools and power tools safely
+ Repair or replace defective parts while maintaining MRO inventory as required
+ Able to communicate effectively, in a professional manner with customers and vendors

Responsibilities

Expectations
Expectations for this position requires ability to travel up to 60% servicing North American customers. Have experience in the converting field and or a minimum of a two-year degree in Automation and or electrical controls schooling.
Ability to read blueprints, understand various PLC platforms, drives, and HMI's. perform diagnostic assessments and use variety of tools and techniques to ensure that the equipment that they're working on is functioning optimally.

Key Qualifications:

As an Engine Test Technician on the Product Development & Engineering team you will be responsible for executing the endurance engine test program and all other engineering engine test activities at Mercury's Indoor Test Center (ITC) located in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. This is a night shift position with working hours of 4PM to 4AM, with rotating 3 day and 4 day work weeks.

Position Overview:
As an Electrical Engineering Technician on Mercury Marine's Product Development & Engineering team you will assist with the development of Mercury's growing Outboard, Sterndrive, and electrification portfolio, in order to develop and advance electrical steering and propulsion systems as part of our award-winning engine lineup, in a unique and challenging marine environment.

Essential Functions:
* Creation of prototype electronic hardware concepts
* Verification and validation testing of prototype and production-level electrical hardware in support of electric steering and propulsion initiatives
* Development and execution of validation plans
* Support system-level electrical testing, including validation of vessel-level electric steering and propulsion
* Assist with or lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for technical issues related to electric and electromechanical systems
* Assist with or lead the creation of electrical hardware specifications
* Participate in cross-functional product development teams through Mercury's High-Performance Product Development stage-gated process
* Create and publish technical reports, design standards, and/or hardware specifications
* Assist in electrical and electromechanical drawing reviews
* Participate in concept reviews, design reviews, and design FMEAs
* Development and testing of customized BDC and BLDC motors for the marine market, from concept through production release

Required Qualifications:
* Associates Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Engineering Technology
* 2+ years of engineering experience working with electronics and electromechanical systems
* Familiarity with 12-60V DC electrical systems
* Strong oral and written communication skills
* Excellent problem definition and solving techniques
* Strong teamwork skills and ability to work among cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications:
* An understanding of BDC and BLDC testing standards and methodologies
* Familiarity with industry standards for electric motor design and manufacturing, especially automotive
* An understanding of power electronics, motor control, permanent magnets
* Experience with CAN tools such as MotoTune, CANalyzer or P-CAN
* Working knowledge of circuit design
* EMC knowledge and/or testing
The anticipated pay range for this position is $46,000-$72,200 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job- related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate's qualifications and the business context.

Essential Functions:
* Understand the basic principles of troubleshooting and be proficient at reading and interpreting complex electrical schematics and wiring diagrams used for troubleshooting as related to manufacturing production equipment
* PLC programming experience
* PLC's (Allen Bradley RSLogix 500, RS Logix5000, Factory Talk View), Functional knowledge with Servo drives, feedback systems, encoders, relay logic control systems

* Perform preventative maintenance on a variety of production and facility equipment

* Basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems as related to troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing production equipment

* Repair or replace defective parts while maintaining MRO inventory as required

The Role Control Technician

What You'll Do
