Qualifications: • 2+ years of experience in HVAC control systems and/or building automation, including servicing and commissioning electronic controls. • Strong knowledge of BMS protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, Lonworks, Tridium/Niagara and experience working with Delta Controls, JCI, and Andover based BMS systems • Hands-on experience with system design, integration, and troubleshooting, including both legacy and new systems. • Familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems as part of construction and building automation system. • Ability to work on-site, including in confined spaces, on ladders, and with equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. • Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD for creating and managing project documentation. • Preferred Experience working with systems from Delta Controls, JCI, Andover, and Tridium. • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to manage customer relations and work effectively in a team to meet project deadlines. • Performing other duties as assigned by Project Manager • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields is a plus. Responsibilities and Duties Calibrate inspection, measurement, and test equipment (IM&TE) in one or more of the following disciplines - Acoustical, Chemical, Dimensional, DC/Low Frequency, RF/Microwave, Fluid, Mechanical, Optical, Thermodynamics, and Time & Frequency, in order to ensure compliance with published specifications Maintain primary and/or intrinsic calibration standards Maintain secondary and/or working calibration standards Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of precision equipment Develop calibration procedures and methods, according to detailed specifications, blueprints, drawings, and other technical requirements Collect, compile, measure, summarize, and record data gathered during calibration. This position is for a candidate continuing their career path in Engineering for high technology product lines in Precision Optics and Specialty Fiber Optics. The Engineering Technician II will assist with product development, maintenance, and quality related tasks under the direct supervision of engineers but will be expected to carry out functions with increased autonomy. Modifications Focused Role * Implement assigned drawing and documentation modifications. * Lead intermediate to complex product modifications * Interact with production personnel to define and solve manufacturing/design issues and implement cost reduction ideas with regard to company products.
