KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES; * Knowledge of the materials, practices and methods in construction of water, sanitary sewer and storm drain systems. * Knowledge of the procedures and requirements of the Sunshine State One-Call of Florida system. * Skill in prioritizing work assignments. * Basic computer, AutoCAD, ArcView, and topographic survey skills. * Ability to work independently. * Ability to take oral and/or written instructions. * Ability to read and interpret construction drawings. * Ability to use metal detector and magnetic pipeline locating equipment. * Ability to advise City personnel about work and make sound judgement calls. * Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with other City employees, contractors, and the public. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Physical demands refer to the requirements for physical exertion and coordination of limb and body movement. * Performs light to medium work that involves walking or standing virtually all of the time and also involves exerting between 20 and 50 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or considerable skill, adeptness and speed in the use of the fingers, hands or limbs in tasks involving close tolerances or limits of accuracy. WORK HOURS Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm (May be required to work nights, weekends and holidays to meet the business needs of the Cit).
