Label Control Tech Ill will help the Label Control Tech II print replacement labels if needed. • Completes Distribution Orders with the help of a Label Control Tech Ill. • Completes Transferring of labels to both facilities (Nestle Way and Schantz) with advice from a Label Control Tech Ill. • Completes Disposition Reports with the advice from a Label Control Tech Ill. • Completes cycle counting of label locations on a daily basis. • Stage jobs per sub steps according to the items, quantities and ranges specified on the Job Scheduling Queue while observing allocations specified in GPM with the help of a Label Control Tech Ill. • Responsible for manual and automated counting of labels/tamper seals with the advice from a Label Control Tech 111. • Responsible for segregating of labels needed for Job sub steps with the advice from a Label Control Tech Ill. • Locating labels to label locations after labels have been approved by QA. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining continuous system operation by troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and performing preventive maintenance activities. Primary responsibilities include operations support in setup, maintenance, and operation of high-speed automatic packaging equipment. Electromechanical troubleshooting skills are required to effectively support and assist in the maintenance and operation of automated packaging equipment. Maintains a cGMP production environment and standards throughout the production area(s). Adheres to workplace environmental, health and safety (EHS) guidelines and procedures while actively promoting and enforcing adherence. Essential Duties will require a close-knit integration with various departments including Operations and Quality. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair machine breakdowns in collaboration with maintenance and engineering teams. Operate packaging equipment to support daily operational activities. Assist in training and developing new machine operators and mechanics. Record data into process check sheets. Troubleshoot and adjust sensors, online printing, barcode scanning, and OCR/OCV vision equipment. Verify the calibration status of measurement gauges, including temperature controllers, thermocouples, air and vacuum gauges, and timers. Performs Preventative and On Demand Maintenance activities, including calibration of packaging equipment, overseeing OEM support and calibration specialist personnel, and appropriately documents all activities per Sharps procedures. Maintain daily correspondence with team members and attend meetings when required. Complete preventive maintenance and on-demand work orders, logging them in the Blue Mountain system. Work hours may vary depending on business needs. Provides advanced troubleshooting including sensors, setup and adjustment of online printing, barcode scanning, and OCR/OCV vision equipment. PLC Knowledge and basic programming in structured text and ladder logic to aid in troubleshooting and diagnosis. Advanced electrical troubleshooting including controls, servos, robotics, and medium voltage control systems. Communicates complex technical issues and troubleshooting strategies both internally and externally. Full-time Description The Electrical/Controls Technician is responsible for maintenance, proper operation, and troubleshooting of all mechanical and electrical systems on production and support equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Support and manage all control components within a PLC system. Perform maintenance activities within a manufacturing environment on production and support equipment. Incorporates LOTO procedures as required by policy. Dismantles devices to gain access to impacted areas and repair/remove defective parts. Determines, by use of regular inspections, the repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns. Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements if the parts are reusable, and what parts, if any need to be ordered. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments not performed by machine operators to ensure proper operation. Repairs electrical equipment within the limitations of expertise and training. Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other tools to make and repair parts. Removes tools and cleans impacted work areas upon completion of work. Initiates purchase orders for parts and machines. Makes recommendations concerning equipment and/or procedure modifications. Locates and sets production machinery as required by production schedule. Performs and assures all duties are carried out in a safe and conscientious manner.
