Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Electrical Leaders to oversee and direct teams of electricians in a manufacturing/build environment. This role is responsible for planning, assigning, and supervising electrical work while ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence. Electrical Leaders serve as the technical authority for their teams and act as a key liaison between Manufacturing, Design, Purchasing, and other departments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise teams of 10-50 electricians
Plan, assign, and direct daily electrical work activities
Troubleshoot and resolve job-related and technical electrical issues
Interpret electrical specifications, blueprints, layouts, and job orders
Plan wiring and installation of electrical equipment and fixtures
Inspect wiring and fixtures for compliance with company, customer, and regulatory specifications
Ensure conformance with OSHA and Ontario Hydro requirements
Estimate labor hours and material requirements for assigned jobs
Requisition, inspect, and track materials
Maintain accurate time, build, and percentage-complete records
Follow up on hit lists, material availability, and build status
Support debug activities during build and system startup
Coordinate with other department leaders to align schedules and resources
Interface with Design, Purchasing, Follow-Up, and Manufacturing teams
Mark up layouts, collect cable lengths, and communicate changes back to Controls Design
Establish guidelines for preliminary wiring performed onsite (power feeds, jumpers, etc.)
Ensure adequate power availability, including power drops, bus capacity, transformers, and voltage requirements
Recommend improvements to build methods, equipment performance, and product quality
Promote efficiency through improved work practices and proper equipment use
Enforce safety, environmental, and company policies
Identify and address safety or environmental concerns
Support the Quality System and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Attend production and coordination meetings as required
Maintain regular and predictable attendance
Qualifications
Associate degree from an accredited college or university OR Minimum 10 years of related electrical experience OR An equivalent combination of education and experience
Proven experience leading and supervising electrical teams
Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
In-depth knowledge of industrial electrical systems

Under minimal supervision, conducts preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning and general servicing of systems (including detailed troubleshooting of systems).
