The position also immediately reports any accident and/or injury to appropriate City personnel. Position also maintains records and logs (of travel time, mileage, gas, purchases, passengers served, traffic accidents, and passenger injuries) and prepares applicable reports, and performs other related duties as assigned. Position may drive unoccupied transit vehicle to transport supplies or materials to City facilities or designated event locations as directed

Position may also assist with activity programming that occurs at destination locations. The position may perform other related work as required.

* Performs first aid as necessary for the purpose of meeting the immediate health care needs of passengers
* Maintain ongoing communication with staff including: Teachers, Building Directors, Fleet Manager and Director of Transportation for the purpose of conveying and/or receiving information
* Prepares documentation (e.g. daily log, incident reports, behavior rating, mileage) for the purpose of providing written support and/or conveying information
* Conduct safety checks on van before each departure and submit a daily pre-trip inspection form for the purpose of ensuring the safe operating condition of the vehicle and meeting state requirements
* Attend all agency trainings, including quarterly in-service trainings, for the purpose of maintaining skills and meeting agency requirements

Rate: $13.50 - $15 /hour

We offer Basic Life Support (BLS) services in the Greater Cincinnati, Columbus, Cleveland, Toledo, and Dayton regions and Advanced Life Support (ALS) in the Akron/Canton area. Lynx provides emergent and non-emergent services to and from private residences, emergency rooms and long-term care, skilled nursing or assisted living facilities. We also offer behavioral health transports.
