**Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:**
+ Performs all required safety checks (i.e., pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations; inspects tractor/truck and trailer to insure they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed.
+ Reports all safety issues and/or repairs required.
+ Follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies. Immediately reports all safety hazards.
+ Inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight.

Job Functions:
Provide safe and efficient transport of patients in the ambulette as scheduled by dispatch. This includes but is not limited to assisting patients to and from ambulette; efficient transfer of patient to receiving personnel.

Provide basic life support-first aid or CPR in emergency situations to patients.
Attend all mandatory staff meetings as scheduled.

Essential Functions:
* Picks up patients at home or other facility. Provides the assistance required tosafely board patients and caregivers.
* Ensures wheelchairs and passengers are properly secured before starting van.Depending on route, may pick up several patients for a common destination.
* On arrival at FHS site, assists patients in exiting the van and reaching the properoffices or treatment areas.
* Checks the van to ensure that no personal items are left behind.
* Provides first-aid or CPR if required during patient transport. Immediately notifiesemergency staff and dispatcher if skilled assistance is required.
