The Port of Portland Police Department is looking for dedicated and experienced police officers to join our dynamic team. As state-certified peace officers, our police officers primarily serve at the Portland International Airport and the surrounding areas, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and supporting federal aviation regulations.
Our department is comprised of over 65 sworn officers and 8 non-sworn staff. In addition to uniformed patrol, we offer specialized assignments in areas such as detectives, canine handlers, TriMet, Metro, bomb technicians, and task forces.

About the Position

About the work
Quality & Compliance Strategy
Quality Management System (QMS): Design, implement, and maintain a robust Quality Management System (e.g., ISO 9001) that scales with the company.
Regulatory Oversight: Ensure all products and operations meet federal, state, and local regulations while also complying with ISO standards.
Audit Management: Lead internal and external audits to ensure continuous adherence to safety and quality protocols.
Partner Quality: Drive Partner Level Quality to ensure upstream conformance throughout the product supply chain.
Technical Documentation & Knowledge Management
Change Management: Oversee Engineering Changes (ECO/MCO) across hardware components and firmware updates within the product set.
Product Definition: Develop and version technical documentation tied to product definition within the business's PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system.
Fleet Operations & Management
Process: Develop, Implement, and Measure all operational processes as it relates to fleet assets both internally within Agility facilities and externally, at customer sites.
Lifecycle Management: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of robotic units from demand signal to allocation and then deployment of the asset.
Asset Tracking: Manage the Robot Fleet from a Fixed Asset perspective ensuring physical traceability of assets.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Feedback Loops: Establish "field-to-engineering" feedback loops to ensure quality issues in the fleet are addressed in future product iterations.
Team Leadership: Build and mentor a multidisciplinary team of quality engineers, technical writers, and fleet analysts/coordinators.
Budgeting: Manage the departmental budget for Quality, Compliance and Fleet Operations.
About you
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related technical field (Master's preferred).
Experience: 10+ years in technical leadership roles, with a proven track record in Compliance, Quality Engineering, and Fleet Management.
Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of QMS frameworks (ISO, Six Sigma, Lean) and fleet management software (Telematics, ERP).
Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear documentation for diverse audiences.
Analytical Skills: Strong data-driven decision-making skills to manage fleet metrics and cost-of-quality analyses.

Job Summary
The Air Logistics Senior Manager Express Operations will be responsible for the management of warehouse operations and airport ramp operations while also working with internal and external executive-level contract partners to ensure efficient handling of Express packages. Responsibilities
• Plan, organize, lead and control staff to promote a workplace culture of teamwork, self-motivation, and pride within a diversified and multi-cultural work environment

• Demonstrate diligence required to maintain security under local Airport Police, Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and United States Customs/Border Protection (USCBP) Regulations and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Challenge any persons not displaying an airport I.D. badge within a WFS warehouse or any Airport Operational Area. (AOA)
• Prepare various operational reports, providing weekly and monthly data regularly, including special reports requested on an ad hoc basis
• Must complete injury reports and damage reports as required
• Authorize/ensure post-accident and post-injury testing is done as required
• Assist customer representatives in providing information and data for various compliance reports and audits
• Maintain records and appointments necessary for employment on the airport such as airport badge appointments, USCBP interviews, or other government-required meetings
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Airline/Logistics/Transportation experience preferred
• 5 years of leadership and management experience required
• Must possess leadership skills with the ability to train and develop personnel
• Must be able to continually respond to and prioritize within a fluid work environment
• Must have ability to work across the 24/7 schedule based on the needs of the busines

In 2019, T. Parker Host acquired United Bulk Terminals (UBT) on Mile 55 of the Mississippi River as one of the largest bulk terminals in the U.S. Gulf, specializing in coal and petcoke. This 1,200 acre property in Davant, Louisiana is capable of extensive loading, discharging and storage - with deep-water docks, fleeting capacity for 500 barges and over 40 pieces of heavy equipment to handle cargo loads.
Since the acquisition, HOST has made extensive improvements in systems and equipment, making the facility safer, more environmentally friendly, and more efficient to better serve our customers.
Position Summary: Responsible for safe navigation, and vessel & crew management, of push boats at United Bulk Terminals- Davant. Captains will coordinate and execute a rigorous daily schedule to support the facility, and customer needs as well as supervise daily, routine and emergency vessel maintenance.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Responsible for the safe and reliable daily operation of their tug
Serve as primary tug vessel operator, safely maneuvering tug and barge(s) throughout the UBT fleet
Direct deckhands in docking & undocking maneuvers
Maintain tug records including vessel logbook and HELM
Coordinate and conduct scheduled drills with tug, crew and port captain
Ensure vessels are always clean and well maintained
Ensure daily barge inspection/checklists are being conducted and completed in HELM
Prepare for and participate in USCG required internal and external audits
Responsible for the safe and reliable daily operation of fleet of two (2) assists tugs
Coordinate between boat and shore side staff to ensure safe operation of barge movements in respect to daily schedule, weather, shore side-line handling, assist tug operation, and barge maintenance.
Responsible for deck side consumable and spare part requests.
Education, Knowledge, Experience, Skills and Abilities Required:
Minimum license: 200 Ton Master, inland, with towing and radar endorsement. (100 Tons with towing endorsement considered on a case-by-case basis)
Valid TWIC
Valid US Driver's License
Previous experience as Master of a twin-screw tug engaged in fleet work
Excellent communication skills in order to communicate effectively/efficiently with crew members, shore staff, customer, and line handlers via VHF, email, and/or mobile phone
Ability to get along with crew members in confined quarters for prolonged periods of time
Must be able to direct, evaluate, and correct performance of subordinates
Ability to adapt to a variety of schedules and hours
Ability to work around the clock shifts and holidays and weekend.
Willingness and ability to be flexible and creative
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook), PDFs, HELM, and use of associated computer, printer/scanner, and work mobile phone.
Physical Requirements:
Physical Must meet "fit for duty" requirements upon job offer (pre-employment physical and drug test)
The employee must meet physical requirements including but not limited to, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing up/down ladders and stairs, negotiating uneven and moving surfaces
Must be physically fit enough to pull heavy lines/hoses, lift, carry heavy items, climb onto barges and up and down ladders.
Must be able to work in difficult conditions with exposure to all weather conditions (rain, ice, snow, wind, heat, etc.)
Must be comfortable working aboard boats and barges using heavy lines, winches, and mechanical tools for repairs
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work at protected heights up to 160 feet.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
