This position is for someone wanting to be part of a fast-paced and growing field, providing specialized nondestructive examinations (NDE) to clients, using various methods. This person will assist a group of highly specialized technicians responsible for using NDE and engineering assistance to assess the condition of critical Nuclear Power Plant components. Primary Responsibilities: This role will be responsible for assisting experienced Level II's conducting Ultrasonic (UT) exams, both with robotic automated and manual exams, which require moving and setting up equipment. Technicians will also receive specific training in ultrasonic principles and additional testing methods with the expectation to achieve Level II certifications as part of career growth. Essential Functions Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient. Refers and questions orders to the Radiologist before performing exam. Prepares patients for the procedure with a full explanation and documents on appropriate worksheets. Interviews patients for a complete medical history. Prepares and administers IV contrast according to departmental protocols. On request, records contrast type and amount.
