The RWD Data Scientist will support strategic decision making across company, conduct feasibility analysis for external customers, and perform commercial analytics by developing predictive models and advanced analytics solutions. Design modeling studies to address specific business issues determined by consultation with business partners. How you will make an Impact: * Prepares analytical data sets in support of modeling studies. * Develop and deliver customized reports for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring clarity and relevance. * Design and implement scalable analytics pipeline, advanced statistical models to solve business problems. * Conduct exploratory data analysis to support new product development * Proactively collaborates with business partners to determine identified population segments and develop actionable plans to enable the identification of patterns related to quality, use, cost and other variables. Minimum Requirements: Requires MS, MA, or PhD with concentration in a quantitative discipline such as statistics, computer science, cognitive science, economics, or operations research, a minimum of 3 years direct experience programming large, multi-source datasets with SAS required, and a minimum of 3 years in health care setting; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background. Preferred Skills, Experiences and Competencies: * Proficiency with SQL, SQL Server, R or Python strongly preferred. * Intermediate to Advanced expertise with software such as SAS Stat, SAS ETS, SAS Enterprise Miner or equivalents strongly preferred. * Strong understanding of statistical modelling, predictive analytics, ML libraries * Experience with visualization and business intelligences tools (i.e. Tableau, Power BI) strongly preferred * Familiarity with healthcare datasets (i.e. closed claims, EHR/EMR), market access analytics, and commercial strategies in the pharmaceutical domain. * Experience in developing and conducting training sessions for internal and external stakeholders. * Familiarity with AWS and Cloud environments. * Proven ability to design modeling studies and experience with data models, addressing data quality issues in study design, constructing robust and efficient analytical data sets strongly preferred. * Significant experience in healthcare related field strongly preferred. * The ability to present meaningful results to a business audience, to participate collaboratively in a team tasked to produce complex analyses on a rigorous schedule, to communicate with strong written and verbal communications skills, and to present to large multi-disciplinary audiences on a regular basis strongly preferred. * Ability to execute data counts, queries, and extractions specific to client inquiries, providing accurate and timely answers. * Ability to engage in discussions to understand and articulate the "why" behind client data needs, building strong client relationships. * Ability to work with client support and commercial teams to identify and capitalize on opportunities for product adoption and expansion. * Desire to become a subject matter expert on internal healthcare datasets and their commercial applications, offering guidance and insights. * Obtain an understanding of data sources, methodologies, and limitations, ensuring data integrity and adherence to industry standards. * Background in leading initiatives to implement advanced analytics tools and techniques, such as AI and machine learning, to automate routine processes and enhance data insights.
