We guarantee 15-25 hours per week with an hourly pay of between $25/hr. and $45/hr., depending on the In-Home Usage Test project. No experience required. Role: Instructional - Teaching An Adult Basic/Secondary Education (ABE) (ASE) instructor plans for and provides instruction in basic reading, language arts, math, and English Language Acquisition (ELA) skills to adult and adolescent students, based on the GCCCA ABE/ASE course outlines and core instructional materials. This position also plans, develops, organizes, monitors, and evaluates curricula, classes and activities to increase literacy and prepare adults for employment and/or post-secondary education entry. This position is also responsible for training, managing, and evaluating staff that work in assigned programs. Student Transitions. Accelerated Opportunities-Kansas (AO-K) is a program to support students in pursuing identified technical education pathways in conjunction with pursuing a GED which enables the student to complete a GED and a technical certificate concurrently. A Transition Coordinator will assist/instruct Adult Basic Education students, support students designated as AO-K technical students in the AO-K technical education courses to successful entry into post-secondary opportunities and collaborate with designated college faculty and staff to coordinate successful transition of students from GCCCA into the college.
