SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
This position serves as support for operations on the jobs in which they are involved. Responsibilities range from participation in initial project set up and buyout, cost spread/estimate familiarity, job quantity tracking, on-site daily activity involvement, concrete material tracking, equipment and manpower productivity tracking, invoice approval, extra work ticket tracking, participation in job cost reporting, project safety compliance, quality control compliance, production analysis/tracking.
This position will require travel to jobsites, 50% travel is likely.

What You Will Do
Conduct detailed design work, assembly layout and the creation of solid models in Solidworks.
Perform thermal and structural analyses in ANSYS Workbench.
Develop product life predictions utilizing stress-life and strain-life fatigue methods.
Write technical reports and supports conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design reviews to ensure designs meet internal and customer requirements.
Work with cross-functional Integrated Project Teams (IPT) to develop cost-effective, manufacturable designs that achieve quality standards and business objectives of the organization.
Contribute to the IPT through design expertise, identification and management of risks, creation of Failure Modes and Effects Analyses, and design modifications to improve manufacturability.
Support operations with ongoing technical support of products in production and in the field.
Develop repairs to support the Maintenance Repair & Overhaul of our products.
Develop and implement common procedures and standard work across the team to optimize efficiency and quality.
Review completed layouts and drawings to ensure clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, specifications, and accuracy of calculations and dimensioning.
Design and review layouts of components, calculates stack-up of detail components, and performs major cost studies consisting of new details and/or marked prints and all supporting documentation, when necessary, to facilitate operations and ensure that established objectives and budgets are achieved.
Develop and maintain internal software tools with the objective of driving automation, consistency and efficiency amongst the engineering team.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
Qualifications We Prefer
Working experience in designing for manufacturing and assembly.
Solidworks and ANSYS Workbench experience strongly preferred.
Familiarity with fracture mechanics experience preferred.
Experience with stress-life and strain-life fatigue calculations of metallic components.
Experience with vibration testing of mechanical components.

Responsibilities
Build and install various application equipment.
Integrate application technology into customer processing systems.
Responsible for all aspects of equipment installation.
Troubleshoot and repair existing application systems at customer locations.
Foster a positive team environment and assist coworkers as required.
Ability to assemble and install application equipment at customer sites across North America.
Attend local exhibitions, seminars, training and workshops.
Assistance in development of new applications systems.
Provide day to day support to customers, sales team and KAS engineers.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology, or a related field, with 0-3 years of experience.
Feed Mill experience preferred
Experience with CAD, Solid works, pipe-fitting, plumbing, electrical or construction engineering highly preferred.
Capability to learn and understand electrical and communication systems.
Familiarity or understanding of PLC's and automation systems.
Ability to work independently or in a structured team.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.
Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Quality minded.
Travel 60%, primarily domestic but could include international
