* Coordinate with other design group team members to review and exchange project information necessary for design and development
* Gathers required information and collaborate with engineers and multiple disciplines to develop BIM models for foundations and steel structures
* Leverages Building Information Modeling (BIM) to create plans, drawings, and details
* Assist in the development of department standards and tools
Qualifications
* Currently enrolled in an associate or bachelor's program in Computer Aided Design & Drafting Technology or a related discipline
* Proficient in using computer-aided drafting programs such as Revit, AutoCAD, GEOPAK, or Navisworks, with basic knowledge of current computer operating systems
* Able to communicate via email and use electronic meeting requests, familiar with spreadsheets and databases
* Capable of communicating clearly with team members and other disciplines, both verbally and in writing
* Able to complete assignments within designated timeframes
* Understanding of multi-discipline engineering and vendor documentation
* Represents Kiewit professionally when interacting with owners, contractors, vendors, and external contacts

Job Profile Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, or nuclear engineering from a program accredited by the ABET EAC is required. ETAC-accredited Engineering Technology programs will not be considered for this position.
* Typically 5 years' experience for a Level III, 10 years for a Level IV, and 15 years for a Level V.
* CAD and P&ID experience are required.
* Experience with facility design, construction, and operation is required.
* Typically, ten years of experience in an engineering role, including machine, process, or facility design and assembly.
* A master's degree in engineering or related field (may include a combination of experience obtained through an academic institution, e.g., design projects, research, or design teams, as well as professional experience) may be in lieu of two years of experience.
* A Ph.D. in engineering or related field (may include a combination of experience obtained through an academic institution, e.g., design projects, research, or design teams, as well as professional experience) may be in lieu of three years of experience.
* Previous experience at X-energy exceeding performance standards may be in lieu of years of experience.
* Knowledge of mechanical and/or chemical engineering concepts, including design, manufacture, installation, assembly, and operation of equipment and systems which meet all manufacturing process and safety standards.
* Knowledge of manufacturing facility design, including lean manufacturing approaches.
* Extensive knowledge of applicable codes and standards pertinent to mechanical and/or process designs.
* Knowledge of 2D/3D engineering and manufacturing tools, e.g. ProE.
* Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Carrier HAP, Trace TRACE, or similar design and simulation software.
