Background(s) in architecture, landscape or planning a plus. • Ability to work enthusiastically in teams • Excellent design talent and graphic communication • Be willing to contribute ideas in a team setting • A passion for sustainable, resilient, and equitable design • Strong understanding of place-making, urban form and building typologies • Familiarity with current technology and ability to work across multiple platforms to produce work of exceptional quality• Proficiency with languages spoken in frequent project locations (Spanish, Chinese, or Vietnamese) is a plus What you'll do : • Work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams consisting of planners, architects, landscape architects, and urban designers • Get exposed to multiple scales and contexts including campuses, urban districts and neighborhoods, research and innovation clusters, new communities, and beyond • Engage in all aspects of the design process including analysis, conceptual ideas, design development and documentation • Create 2d and 3d analytical and conceptual drawings, graphics, digital and physical models • Be challenged and inspired to help create innovative 21st century places and environments • Learn about and assist with different project phases, helping project teams with their daily functions and roles; learn about the various aspects and general operations of a multi-disciplinary design firm. • Help generate design concepts and present design intent across multiple platforms • Provide flexibility in developing alternative concepts to solve complex design problems • Work effectively and smart, always thinking of ways to be most effective with your time Candidates must upload : -Resume -Portfolio/Work Samples (**You may need to break up your portfolio into smaller pieces if over 10mb total**) -Brief, one page explanation of goals and expectations for internship -Name and contact information for a professor or professional reference and/or letter of reference Please Note : You MUST apply through this career page!
