Technical Team Leader - GEA Government Accounting

The North American Technical Team Leader is a key member of GE Aerospace Government Accounting Controllership team responsible for creating the vision, setting the strategy and leading execution to deliver maximum compliant recovery of cost in support of a $6B US Government business portfolio. The Technical Team leader is responsible for leading all aspects of the timely and accurate disclosure of GE Aerospace's cost accounting practices to the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) Administrative Contracting Officer. The incumbent will have daily contact with GE Aerospace Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and business P&L stakeholders. Additionally, the incumbent will have ongoing interactions with representatives from the US Government Buying Commands, the DCMA, and the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA). Finally, the leader will ensure synchronization with the wider Government Business team to achieve team and business objectives.
**Job Description**
**Roles and Responsibilities**
The North American Technical Team Leader will lead a team of government accounting professionals to ensure GE Aerospace's North American Cost Accounting Standards Board (CASB) Disclosure Statement (DS) accurately communicates cost accounting practices in place for the covered period by:
+ Establishing and maintaining relationships with business stakeholders to understand existing cost accounting practices, assess their compliance with the Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), facilitate any required changes to ensure compliance with CAS, and having mechanisms in place to identify changes in advance of implementation.
+ Working openly and collaboratively with business stakeholders, DCMA, and DCAA to propose and support changes in cost accounting practices through audit and be able to clearly articulate the impact of the changes on covered US Government contracts.
+ Negotiating effectively with the DCMA to resolve disputes in a fair and reasonable manner.
+ Implementing business processes that are compliant with the Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and support the requirements in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Department of Defense supplement (DFARS), and other applicable acquisition regulations and guidance.
+ Personally leading lean transformation efforts to eliminate waste, improve transparency, establish standard work, and enhance the value the team brings to the business.

**Required Qualifications**

**What We're Looking For**
Datavant is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented **ERP NetSuite Senior Administrator** to lead the configuration, maintenance, and governance of our enterprise financial system. This role will support the stabilization, enhancement, and long-term scalability of NetSuite across a rapidly growing, multi-entity environment.
You'll partner closely with Finance, IT, Security, and external vendors to ensure our NetSuite platform is optimized for accuracy, audit compliance, and performance. This is a high-impact role with visibility across Finance leadership, Audit, and Program Management.
**What You Will Do**
**System Administration & Optimization**
+ Own day-to-day NetSuite configuration: custom fields, records, workflows, approval routing, user roles, and scripts
+ Remediate legacy customizations and streamline processes in alignment with best practices
+ Maintain sandbox governance, configuration migration, and release testing
+ Implement approved enhancements and manage configuration changes to reduce reliance on legacy scripts
+ Ensure configurations are audit-aligned and support multi-entity operations
+ Oversee sandbox refreshes, cloning, and configuration migration
+ Manage deployment of tested enhancements and scripts between environments
+ Coordinate with third-party vendors during upgrade cycles or break/fix escalations
**Issue Resolution & Support**
+ Troubleshoot posting failures, approval delays, and integration errors across modules (e.g., RevShare, FX, JE automation)
+ Partner with stakeholders to identify root causes and implement permanent fixes
+ Serve as Tier 2/Tier 3 NetSuite support for Finance and Operations users
+ Identify root causes for recurring issues and recommend permanent solutions
**User Access & Role Management**
+ Implement and maintain role-based access controls in coordination with HCM and Omada
+ Audit admin privileges and clean up legacy or over-privileged roles
+ Support onboarding/offboarding workflows and audit traceability requirements
**Reporting & Audit Readiness**
+ Support preparation and delivery of system-generated reports for internal and external audit
+ Maintain documentation of all configuration changes, workflows, and approval logic
+ Ensure system compliance with SOX, GAAP, and internal ITGC standards
+ Coordinate user provisioning and deprovisioning in partnership with Omada, HCM, and IT Security
+ Audit and clean up admin-created roles and permissions
**Cross-Functional Collaboration**
+ Work with Finance, IT Systems, Audit, and third-party vendors (e.g., PwC, Genpact) on roadmap execution
+ Participate in project governance, discovery sessions, and UAT support for system enhancements
+ Align NetSuite configuration with Coupa, HighRadius, Snowflake, and other integrated platforms
**What a Typical Day Looks Like**
+ Monitor and troubleshoot NetSuite system issues, interface jobs, and integrations with third-party tools like HighRadius, Coupa, and MuleSoft
+ Collaborate daily with Finance, Accounting, and RevOps teams to resolve system pain points and clarify requirements
+ Manage user roles, permissions, and access controls in coordination with IT Security
+ Build and maintain saved searches, dashboards, workflows, and reports to support financial close, forecasting, and audit readiness
+ Investigate and resolve data inconsistencies in areas like revenue recognition, intercompany transactions, or payment processing
+ Participate in daily stand-ups or cross-functional syncs related to system enhancements, process automations, and UAT support
+ Document changes, enhancements, and SOPs in a centralized knowledge base to promote process clarity and audit compliance
+ Work with vendors and consultants to scope and execute enhancements, bug fixes, or larger system optimization efforts
+ Explore opportunities to reduce manual work and increase reliability through NetSuite-native tools, SuiteScript, or middleware logic
**What You Need to Succeed**
+ 7+ years administering NetSuite ERP in a multi-entity or high-growth environment
+ Strong understanding of NetSuite modules: GL, AR/AP, approvals, roles, reporting
