About the role The Mobile Equipment Mechanic is responsible for the safe, environmentally sound and efficient daily operation of the facility and mobile equipment. Position Responsibilities: Hydraulic systems repair and diagnostics. Regen system repair and diagnostics (exhaust). Air brake system repair and diagnostic. Good work ethic, self-motivation, honesty, and efficiency. Work order completion, safe work permit accuracy. OTJ performance review. Use of efficiency with electronic/computer diagnostic tools. Adjust, repair, or overhaul on mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. Position Requirements & Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years diesel vehicle and/or heavy equipment maintenance experience, or two years of mechanical trade school training and two years' experience as a vehicle and heavy equipment mechanic. Must be able to operate mobile equipment such as front-end loader and tractor/trailer for diagnosis purposes. Specialize in clutch work or hydraulics a plus. Current valid driver's license required; CDL license is a plus. Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) or Diesel certifications preferred in areas of knowledge and experience.
