EDUCATION • High School Diploma or equivalent EXPERIENCE • 4 years' experience as a mechanic, including experience working with school buses, gas and diesel engines, and hydraulic & air brake systems • Good written and verbal skills, good problem-solving skills, good record keeping skills. Computer skills a plus. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS • Hydraulic/Air brakes Systems Certification • ASE Certification • Electrical Systems • A current California Class C Driver License and willing to obtain Class B • Must have clean DMV Record • All applicants are required to complete the pre-screen Background Clearance and Drug Testing • Must be at least 18 years of age Physical Demands • Auto mechanics usually work indoors, but may go out on service calls to make emergency repairs on vehicles that have broken down on the road. • Physical condition must allow long periods of standing or sitting and regular lifting, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, moving and pushing small to large articles.
