Transdev is seeking multiple experienced A or B technicians to perform maintenance on a variety of vehicles including Ford cutaways and transit buses.
We utilize a paperless shop with iPad tablet technology that makes filling out work orders much easier and less time consuming.
Transdev is proud to offer:
Base starting hourly wages from $30.75 to $44.92/hr. based on experience & qualifications (not flat rate)
Shift differentials $2/hr. for second shift, $2/hr. for weekend hours
ASE incentive program with $.25/hr. for each primary automotive certification and $.15/hr. for each secondary transit certification
Additional $1000 annual bonus for maintaining ASE triple master status

Major Responsibilities:
Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs to maintain a safe and reliable fleet
Diagnose and perform all phases of vehicle and equipment repair including brakes, engine performance, suspensions, drive trains, transmission, and other repairs
Ensure work orders are completed properly and accurately.
Technician Qualifications:
Valid driver's license required. We provide company paid training to help you obtain your CDL!
2+ years of automotive or diesel repair employment experience or combination of education & experience.
Must have appropriate mechanic's tool set.
ASE certifications preferred. Must be willing to participate in company ASE certification program

Perform the functions of a Grade 2 Mechanic.
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on trailer refrigeration.
Perform simple and complex mechanical and electrical repairs.

Qualifications you'll bring as a Mechanic II:
Have High School Diploma or GED. Trade school graduate in heavy duty diesel repairs, and/or refrigeration
classes. Beginning level is preferred.
Have 2 years job experience on diesel repairs, tractor- trailer, refrigeration maintenance and repairs.
One year documented experience in fleet maintenance or one-year employment with company at upper scale of Class C Technician.
Posses basic hand tools (up to ½” drive) and tool storage.
Posses or acquire within 1 year from date of hire a current ASE certification in Medium/Heavy Truck Preventative Maintenance Inspection (PMI) (Test T8).
Possess a Valid Class C Drivers License. A Class A license is preferred but not required.
Stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, grasp and reach above the head for extended periods of time.
Prefer the following certifications:
Certification with International Maxx Force 13 Engines.
Certification in Transportation Refrigeration.
Brake Systems and components.
Tractor A/C Refrigeration and Freon Recovery (609 license required).
Trailer Refrigeration 608 license required if working on trailer units.
Heavy Duty electrical diagnostics and repairs.
Prefer ASE Certification in heavy duty mechanics and Cummins or Detroit certification.

This position is an entry-level training and development position. This position will perform all tasks associated
with the wash bay, fuel Island and yard clean up and assist other mechanics when needed. The position may make
minor repairs as determined by supervisor.

What you'll do as an Mechanic I:
* Perform preventative maintenance service on tractor and trailers.
* Perform light repairs and minor electrical repairs.
* Pressure test and diagnose coolant systems.
* Check alignments and diagnose problems.
* Drive or be trained to drive tractors and or tractor-trailer combinations.
* Check and diagnose electrical systems.
* Read preventative maintenance list and keep current on preventative maintenance due.
* Perform light repairs on 'Driver write-ups' and 'fuel island' repairs.
* Work Fuel Island as needed.
* Clean shop areas as needed.
* Maintain fleet tires.
* Comply effectively with company work and safety rules.
* Obtain a set of tools and tool storage within 3 months of date of hire.
* Effectively communicate both written and orally with supervisor and peers.
* Follow directions.
* Work independently and in a team environment.
* Be trained and certified to operate any required equipment within 30 days after hire.
* Comply with company attendance policy.
* Maintain a flexible work schedule to meet the changing needs of the job. Must be available for shop on-call rotation, and able to do road calls using a company vehicle.
Qualifications you'll bring as a Mechanic I:
* Have High School Diploma or GED. Tech School classes or equivalent training preferred.
* Possess a Valid Class C Drivers License.
* Have 2 years experience in preventative maintenance, minor repairs on tractor and trailers, some electrical diagnostics, light repairs, dismounting and mounting tire machine, use of tire bars, and use of tire gun.
* Stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, grasp and reach above the head for extended periods of time.
* This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.

WHAT OUR MECHANICS DO
Our Experienced Mechanics make sure our lanes, pinspotters/pinsetters, and other building equipment are all in tip-top shape by performing preventative maintenance and making emergency repairs when necessary. If you've got a strong mechanical aptitude and a history of exceptional performance, you'll thrive as a member of our team.
A MECHANIC'S DAY-TO-DAY:
Abide by and maintain all safety procedures as required by Lucky Strike Entertainment and OSHA.
You are responsible for keeping the center equipment in full working order.
Fully understand how to operate all bowling equipment in the center
Adhere to all outlined preventative maintenance programs and monitor and perform daily center maintenance as instructed.
Take charge and ensure the shop and machine area is clean and organized.
Assisting the Senior Mechanic with the training of new Mechanics.
WHAT IT TAKES:
At least 1 year of Mechanical experience
High School Diploma with a strong emphasis on algebra, geometry, and applied mathematics (Optional)
Excellent communication skills
Ability to train new mechanics
Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended workdays
Proven team player
