Services air conditioning systems to include troubleshooting electrical components and installation of complete air conditioning systems on vehicles. 3. Troubleshoots electrical systems and components using a computerized multi-meter to check for voltage, amps, ohms and current draw. 4. Performs drivability test to insure safe operation of vehicles after completion of maintenance and/or repairs. 5. Inspects body damage; repairs and paints a variety of vehicle bodies. 6. Utilizes cutting torch, Mig arc welders and power band saw to fabricate and to repair brackets or bracing. 7. Assists all District drivers with adjustments to vehicles. 8. Job Description HOLT Truck Centers views the service department as a vital part of the dealership, and the way it builds open, honest, trusting relationships with customers and other departments is essential to the dealership's success. The main objective of the Service Technician is to diagnose and repair vehicle components and systems for the Service Department. Accountabilities Perform unsupervised work as outlined on major repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards. Complete major repairs within specified times Diagnosis, troubleshoot, and repair non-typical vehicle issues Engage with external manufacturers and warranty contacts to maximize reimbursement of services Examine assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended Consult with service advisor about status of the vehicle repairs Provide technical expertise and guidance to all level of technicians Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events and make recommendations for other technicians within the shop Document all work performed and recommended on a repair order using accepted language Document all required information for the successful completion of a warranty claim Road test vehicles for evaluation purposes specifically for noise, vibration, and harshness to determine needed actions Ensure the customer's vehicles are kept clean. Notify the service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle Maintain a safe and clean work environment and recommend improvements for shop safety Maintain and be accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Identify issues with specialty tools and communicate to management. Job Summary The Field Forklift Technician will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing various Material Handling Equipment (MHE). Key Job Responsibilities Perform routine preventative maintenance on Material Handling Equipment (MHE). Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair MHE including, but not limited to: Liquid Propane, Gas and Diesel engines, Transmissions, Hydraulic Systems, Steering Systems, Electrical Systems, and Brakes. Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications. Provide Information and recommend services to the Sales team. Manage work orders (paper and digital) for each job in a timely manner. Perform hazard assessments and maintain a high standard of safe work practices and quality control. Follow company and OSHA safety rules and guidelines. Avoid injuries and damage to property, loss of unused materials and clean-up of work area debris. Completes all necessary company training in a timely manner. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Key Performance Measurements A score card that reflects performance in areas such as safety, completion time for projects, customer satisfaction, and issue resolution. Management observation regarding attitude, diligence, team contributions, and willingness & ability to learn new skills and information. Requirements: Experience in repair and maintenance of: Electrical, Diesel and Internal Combustion Forklifts; Aerial Lifts; Lift Trucks; and other related material handling equipment. Minimum of 2 years is highly preferred. Ability to thrive in a fast paced, technology driven, service environment. Possess strong teamwork skills. Ability to multi-task. Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Must be able to communicate effectively, verbal and written, with management and customers. Able to manage time effectively, as well as complete service reports, timecards and parts ordering. Must have schedule flexibility, as services may be performed during evenings, weekends or holidays. Willingness to work overtime. High School Diploma or GED is required. Must be able to pass a standard Department of Transportation (DOT) physical.
