Box Truck Driver/Material Handlers are responsible for efficiently and safely loading and unloading trucks and trailers at the warehouse using pallet jacks and forklifts; once complete they are responsible for accurately sorting, stocking, processing, or disposing of the product or material and helping to maintain the organization of the warehouse. This would include donated goods, recycled materials, salvage materials, garbage, and hazardous materials. This position requires the ability to be forklift certified and to safely operate, regularly clean, and help maintain the forklift. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Efficiently and safely load and unload trucks and trailers at the warehouses using pallet jacks and forklifts. Become forklift certified through Goodwill training. Complete cleaning tasks as assigned; help maintain the warehouses as safe, clean workplaces. Accurately sorts salvage materials into assigned containers. Safely and correctly operate the cardboard and trash compactors. Safely and correctly operate the textile baler. Drive trucks to stores, ADCs, donation bins, warehouses, and house calls as needed, obeying all traffic laws and following security procedures to protect Goodwill vehicles and property. Assist in loading and unloading of trailers and trucks at each location. Inspect and verify that each load is secure prior to transport.
