Position Summary
The ElectricalApprentice supports licensed electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on commercial and/or industrial projects. This role is designed for individuals looking to build a long-term career in the electrical trade through hands-on training while following all safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with installing electrical conduit, wire, fixtures, and equipment under supervision.
Pull wire, terminate devices, and help with basic panel work as directed.
Use hand and power tools safely (drills, benders, saws, meters, etc.).
Help read and follow basic plans, schematics, and work instructions.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite; follow all OSHA and company safety rules.
Load/unload materials, stage tools, and support the crew with daily job tasks.
Communicate progress and issues to the Foreman/Journeyman and ask questions to learn.
Participate in apprenticeship schooling/training and complete required hours/documentation.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Enrollment in (or willingness to enroll in) an approved apprenticeship program preferred.
Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to learn electrical concepts.
Ability to follow instructions, work as part of a team, and show up reliably.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if required for the jobsite).
Ability to pass pre-employment screenings (background/drug test) as applicable.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work on ladders, and perform physical labor in varying weather/site conditions.

About this Role
Steps one and two gave the Apprentice the basic skills to use the common tools and techniques associated with powerline work. Step two introduced the Apprentice to energized secondary work to teach them the principles of live work. During step three the Apprentice will begin energized primary work. In addition, the Apprentice will learn how to connect single phase transformers.
* Complete set of personal climbing gear MUST be obtained no later than the end of step two Apprenticeship, no exceptions.
While working aloft on or near energized primary circuits the step three Apprentice must be directly supervised by a Lineman or Foreman at the same physical location as the Apprentice (on the pole with, in the bucket with or adjacent to).

Operates test apparatus during test cycle to produce, regulate, and record effects of actual or simulated conditions such as vibration, stress, temperature, humidity, pressure, altitude, and acceleration.
Analyzes and converts test data to usable form and prepares graphs and written reports to translate test results.

Requires strong AC/DC drive, PLC and relay logic troubleshooting skills.

Installation, calibration and troubleshooting of pressure, level, flow, temperature, consistency, conductivity, turbidity and pH transmitters.
Tuning of process control loops and machine control systems.
Programming and troubleshooting of DCS, PLC and HMI interfaces.
Perform configuration and logic modifications to DCS and PLC control systems. Modifications will include programming in ladder logic, block logic. sequential logic and statement logic.
Troubleshoot and diagnose configuration and implementation of integrated and stand-alone graphic human machine interfaces.

QUALIFICATIONS

Job Summary: Sprinkler Helpers are responsible for delivering outstanding customer service while assisting Technicians with tasks related to the installation, modification, inspection, troubleshooting, servicing and maintenance of assigned systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and/or prepare work sites for installation projects
Assist in loading/unloading of materials, machinery and tools
Assist in setting up work area, including equipment
Assist installation and/or service teams as needed
Qualifications
What we are looking for:
No prior fire protection experience required, just a demonstrated ability and desire to learn and help
Drug testing/Background check required
Must be able to attain CalFire Registered Trainee Card
Display professional appearance.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Professional communication with customers and ability to provide excellent customer service.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and is occasionally required to lift and/or move heavy objects.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable working in various environments, including industrial facilities, commercial buildings, and outdoor settings, which can potentially expose employees to noise, dust, heat stress, thermal stress, low light conditions, heights, etc.
Capable of standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces as needed, which would require use of fall protection equipment and other safety devices
Capable of using hand and power tools, including specialty tools resulting in cutting, grinding, drilling, fastening and other methods resulting in torque, vibration, noise, etc.
