In general, all Electrician roles are required to repair, install, replace, program, and test all electrical circuits, and equipment. ELECTRICAL APPRENTICE Preferred minimum of 6 months documented field experience. Must have ability to read and interpret instructions and documentation. Plan, layout, install, and repair wiring, conduit, electrical fixtures, apparatus and control equipment. RESPONSIBILITIES - Prepares sketches showing location of wiring and equipment or follows diagrams or blueprints insuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring. - Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit using such tools as a hacksaw, pipe threader, rules and conduit benders. - Pulls wiring through conduit, assisted by helper. - Splices wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads with knife or pliers, twisting or soldering wires together and applying tape or terminal caps. - Connects wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment using hand tools. - Installs control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays and circuit- breaker panels, and fastens in place with crews or bolts using hand or power tools. - Connects power cables to equipment and installs grounding leads. - Test continuity of circuit to insure electrical compatibility and safety of components using testing instruments such as ohmmeter, battery and buzzer and oscilloscope. - Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement. - Disassembles and repairs defective electrical equipment or systems. - Load, transport and unload material, tools, equipment and supplies. - Maintains tools and equipment. - Be able to distinguish colors. - Knowledge of certain procedures such as LOTO, etc. - Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules. Responsible for providing electrical support including but not limited to, programming of PLC's from multiple manufacturers (AB, Bosch-Rexroth, Omron), electrical and program troubleshooting, and ongoing project support for manufacturing daily operations and improvements associated with the manufacturing systems. SHIFT SCHEDULE: Electrical Controls Tech II 8 hours shift - 40-hour week Booneville, AR ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Work safely and in accordance with facility safety guidelines and procedures. 2. Work directly with and provide daily process support to the Operations Team and HPOT teams. 3. Provide technical support for troubleshooting equipment and process related issues as well as continuous improvement of converting processes and equipment. This includes, but is not limited to plant electrical distribution systems, equipment or process control systems, electrical circuits, motors and drives. 4. Facilitate the procurement and or development of equipment and process documentation necessary to support the manufacturing operations. 5. As an HVAC Installer you will be involved in multiple construction projects. Our average work week is Monday - Friday, 07:00-3:30p, although certain projects may require overtime or a variable schedule. Read and Interpret Blueprints, Schematics, and Diagrams. Operate mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and other related field tools. Journeyman will train and direct HVAC apprentice to assist in installation of HVAC, Mechanical, and refrigeration systems. Layout, assemble, and install variety of sheet metal duct systems including square, rectangle, round, and spiral. Candidate should also have experience with flex and fabric duct systems. Install, test, diagnose, and repair mechanical and refrigeration systems, system components and equipment with appropriate testing equipment to ensure safety, compliance, and operation.
