    Job Title: Electrical Foreman - Commercial Construction Position Overview: We are seeking motivated and dedicated individuals to join our Commercial Construction team as an Electrical Foreman for projects in the Charlottesville and surrounding areas. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the install of your assigned electrical project, along with training and teaching apprentices and helpers. Responsibilities: * Supervise personnel completing electrical building projects * Assigning tasks, inspecting electricians' work, monitoring team performance, reading blueprints, making sure quality standards are respected, and handling customer relations * Thorough knowledge in the electrical trade * Cutting, bending, threading and installation of EMT conduit of all sizes * Experience bending offsets, 3 points, 4 points, saddles, kicks, 90's, etc. * Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, submittals, etc. * Assisting in hooking up/terminating electrical panels, set fixtures, and various electrical devices * Experience seeing installs from start to finish * Ability to read and interpret construction/coordination drawings and blueprints * Ability to instruct and teach the above tasks. * Work as a trainer and mentor for helpers and apprentices * Must have a valid driver's license and dependable transportation Requirements: * High School Diploma or equivalent * Journeyman or Master card preferred. * Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop others * Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal * Computer and technology understanding. * Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. * Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various environments. * Strong attention to detail. * Commitment to safety and following established protocols. Electricians are responsible for responding to renovation projects and support to maintenance work orders within North Grounds Zone. Electricians perform work of moderate difficulty which involves repairing, installing, connecting, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment in buildings. Completes repairs/replacements of routine general maintenance items and light plumbing, drywall, and carpentry work as needed. · Interpret blueprints and building specifications to map layout for electrical systems, and other electrical materials Interpret existing building electrical wiring through visual inspections for best problem-solving practices Install fixtures such as lights, receptacles, communication devices, breaker panels and junction boxes Use saws and cutting equipment as necessary Collaborate with contractors, construction workers, plumbers, pipefitters, and steamfitters in installing and repairing electrical wiring Test electrical systems for shorts and other problems Analyze problems and identify appropriate tools and materials for repair Choose electrical materials based on budget, location, and intended uses of building Follow health and safety standards and comply with building codes and NEC regulation codes Write report documenting the problem and summary of actions taken Perform inspections of electrical systems to identify and replace worn parts Prepare bids and schedules and oversees other workers, such as apprentices and helpers General maintenance work as needed or as directed by management Perform routine preventative maintenance repairs on all electrical related systems, including but not limited to fire suppression systems, boilers, appliances. Participate in all weather-related emergencies, including snow removal and other inclement weather preparedness and recovery operations. Participate in the routine On-Call schedule. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position; typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Overtime and weekend hours possible during busy turnover season and as weather and business needs require. Night manager on-call rotation for additional pay. Required Education and Experience Excellent communication skills Must have ability to utilize mobile cellular device for many functions in this position. Knowledge of apartment or home repairs or maintenance acquired by at least one year of experience. Must have knowledge of OSHA safety rules and regulations. Panel replacement experience Must have 3 years electrical wiring experience Must have a Tradesmen license issued by the DPOR, or be able to obtain a Tradesmen license within 90 days of employment.
