Overview
As a Certified Electrician at Sunrun you will be working on a variety of projects from installing solar systems, performing work for our existing customers, and learning more about energy storage and other new technology.

Responsibilities
Lead the installation of electrical systems that interconnect our solar array to the grid power of our customer's residential property
Ensure work performed by all electricians is of good workmanship and compliant with current NEC and local codes
Complete solar battery installations as assigned
Troubleshoot system problems and resolve electrical issues
Safely plan and complete Main Panel Upgrades (MPU)
Work with branch team and home owners to fulfill any necessary system upgrades/repairs to support our solar equipment
Work with local inspectors to satisfy local requirements and expectations
Additional duties assigned as needed
5% travel required
Qualifications
Electrical installation and repair experience required
Experience with electrical work involving wiring up to 600 VDC and 480 VAC
Working knowledge and experience replacing residential electrical services and distribution panels preferred
Must possess a valid Journeyman License/Electrician Certification or equivalent per local and state requirements, e.g. wireman license
Must maintain a clean driving record with the ability to pass a driving background check
Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Will work in a mechanics shop, in conditions that may contain dust, dirt, moving machinery, temperature changes, heights and continual noise that is below OSHA's action level. Must have the ability to work outside for extended periods, in extreme weather conditions. PPE is required.

Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the Mechanic conducts preventive maintenance (PM) and performs troubleshooting on equipment and machinery in accordance with manufacturer's specifications using measuring and testing instruments.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for the maintenance and repair of various equipment, including but not limited to macadamia nut, food processing, and husking machinery/equipment.
Responsible for general facilities repairs as instructed by the manager.
Examines form and condition of parts to detect defective or worn part; repairs and replaces defective parts.
Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using basic mechanical, power, or hand tools, and other measuring instruments.
Locates sources of problems by observing machinery in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
Follows PM program and maintains machinery and equipment by lubricating and cleaning parts as recommended by the manufacturer's specifications.
Anticipates needed equipment, parts, and supplies.
Responds to emergency maintenance requests.
Regular attendance is required for the position.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains a clean and safe working environment by complying with policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
Must be able to perform all other duties as directed by manager.
Updates PM program as needed.
Performs all duties and maintains all standards in accordance with company policies and procedures.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 50+ lbs.
Must have experience in welding/fabrication, basic computer skills, and ability to work flexible schedules/shifts (day or night shift).
Must have strong time management and communication skills.
Must have basic mechanic's tools.
Must pass a pre-employment drug test and complete a 30-day probation period.
Electrical skills 110/460 a plus.
