The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for the Commissioning, Quality Assurance, specification, installation, programming, calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical equipment to improve field system operation/uptime and reduce total operating costs. Qualifications: * High School diploma or GED * Excellent diagnostic and repair skills for complex problems in Electrical distribution systems * Capable of installing, troubleshooting, and repairing switchboard control panels and components, motor circuits, building and lighting circuits, and control circuits * Capable of understanding mechanical relay logic and ladder logic * Capable of programming simple ladder logic and VFD's * Proficient at reading electrical installation drawings. Circuit schedules, plans, area class, motor schematics and wiring diagrams * Proficient at using all test equipment associated with troubleshooting electrical equipment * Knowledgeable of NEC and OSHA standards. * Able to safely supervise electrical contract work * Able to effectively interface with electrical engineers and energy providers * Able to perform preventive maintenance on low voltage electrical equipment such as switchgear, breakers, etc. * Good computer skills * Team oriented, flexible, and able to work with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various settings, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems. Utilize voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other testing devices to troubleshoot electrical issues. Work with power tools and hand tools to complete tasks efficiently and safely. Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant regulations. Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors to complete projects on time. Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems to minimize downtime. Document all work performed and maintain accurate records of repairs and installations. Qualifications Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent experience as an electrician. Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding of schematics. Experience working with logic controllers and industrial electrical systems is preferred. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
