Position provides quality control using guidelines from the National Electrical Code, local codes, safety regulations and EMCOR standard practices. **Essential Duties & Responsibilities** Installs and connects power supply wiring and conduit for lighting, general devices, newly installed machines and building equipment. Troubleshoots and supports production controls and automation components. Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, motor starters, MCC panels, MCC circuits, variable frequency drives, and lighting fixtures, and replaces damaged parts, broken wires, cables, and connections. Has knowledge of and responsibility to maintain the following electrical distribution equipment: 3 phase 4 wire 277/480 VAC, 3 Phase 4 wire 120/208 VAC, and single phase 3 wire 120/240 VAC. Replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards, relays, contractors, and control buttons. Maintains building lighting, task lighting, parking lot lighting, lighting contactors, emergency lights/exit lights, 120 volt outlets, photoelectric eyes for exterior building lighting, and lighting contactors controlled by the energy management system. Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings per the NEC. Performs preventative maintenance tasks, on 480 volts or less, on all electrical utilities and equipment. Responsible for accurate and timely paperwork related to essential duties and responsibilities. Maintains, organizes, and cleans shop area and/or service van, including inventory control, tool maintenance, and calibration of testing equipment. Other duties as assigned. **Qualifications** **Business Experience** 5 years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. **Licenses/Certifications** Must possess applicable certifications, licenses and a valid driver's license **Language Skills** Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Have the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.
