The Electrical Engineering Technician for the Shiley School of Engineering will manage the electrical engineering shop in the recently opened Shiley-Marcos Center for Design & Innovation. The new space is available for engineering students to independently design, prototype, and manufacture their creations using a variety of equipment. This position will work independently with minimal supervision and is responsible for overseeing the electrical engineering shop, training and supervising students and faculty on equipment use, troubleshooting and repairing lab equipment, giving design advice to students, and creating a safe and welcoming environment.

This full-time contract Electrical Engineering Tech position will provide electrical engineering tech support for the RAS Engineering (TENR) organization at Bonneville Power Administration (BPA). This position will provide confidential and professional services for a wide variety and large volume of project designs, drawings, communications, and associated / related documentation. Engineering technician services will be conducted following established policy, process, and practice, and will be provided to support Control Center (CC) or Substation work for Remedial Action Schemes (RAS) Engineering to which this position will report. This position will provide engineering technician expertise, assisting project managers and other engineering personnel in implementing projects, supporting field maintenance crews, and other related engineering activities.
