Summary Description
Under the field supervision of a Journeyperson or Foreperson, performs various tasks related to the installation of commercial and industrial electrical systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
Completes appropriate level of apprentice course work and tracks on-the-job training.
Assists with the installation of branch conduit systems.
Assists with the installation of branch wire systems.
Assists with the installation of distribution conduit systems.
Assists with the installation of distribution wire systems.
Assists with the installation of branch devices.
Assists with the installation of underground systems.
Assists with assembling appropriate tools and materials for the task on a daily basis.
Safeguards and maintains Tri-M equipment, material, tools, and vehicles.
Job Qualifications
Skills/Educational Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalency.
Must enroll in and actively participate in an approved Apprenticeship Training Program.
Good mechanical aptitude.
Good work ethic.
Self-starter and ability to follow directions.
Must have reliable transportation to and from the assigned work location/office.

Vision adequate for blueprint reading and color coding for wire identification
Balance adequate for continuous climbing of ladders, scaffolds, and lifts and for working from heights.
Environmental factors may include working in temperature extremes of 0° F to 100° F up to 8 hours inside or outside and atmospheric exposure to dust, gases, fumes, and odors within the Permissible Exposure Limits (PEL).
Special hazards include exposure to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and potentially explosive hazards
Personal protective equipment includes use of hard hat, safety glasses, protected-toe boots, and appropriate gloves for the task. Equipment on an "as needed" basis may include fall protection, dust mask, respirator, hearing protection, arc flash protective gear, and dielectrically insulated gloves and/or sleeves, etc.

Job Summary
To assist in the provision of engineering and project management focused on extending and preserving ED's distribution system capability to serve both new and existing customers in a reliable, safe, timely, and economic manner. Resolve complex service problems.

Duties and Responsibilities
* Design medium expansions to the distribution system to serve new customers and new load of existing customers. Meet with residential and small single/three phase business customers or their agent(s) to identify their service requirements, explain ED's requirements, and process for extending service, and authorize new service entrance locations. Produce the necessary design documents to accomplish the project, obtain the necessary right-of-way and permits, stake out the project in the field, deliver the design to C&M, and schedule the construction to be completed in time to meet the customer's needs.
* Identify and design medium distribution system projects to improve the safety, reliability, and adequacy of service to existing customers. This includes secondary modernization, re-sectionalizing, load balancing, transformer and recloser change out, and small distribution line conversion, relocations and end of life replacement projects. Produce the necessary design documents to accomplish these projects, obtain the required rights-of-way and permits, stake out the project in the field, and deliver the design to C&M in a timely manner
* Troubleshoot and resolve service problems such as fluctuating lights, stray voltage, and adequate voltage. Meet with customers to resolve issues regarding clearance, location, and condition of ED facilities and other related matters.
* Assist in the restoration of service due to storm damage or equipment failure. Provide coverage for other technicians during their absence. Review all mapping updates resulting from work produced to assure accurate representation. Perform other related duties.
* Follow up/monitor customer service questions and confirm timely UGI standard installation of facilities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Knowledge of UGI's distribution line construction standards, methods, and equipment.

This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership and planning to ensure high-quality, safe, and efficient production of prefabricated electrical components.
Key Responsibilities
Employs creative, practical, and cost-effective assembly methods through knowledge of electrical construction environment with a think-outside-the-box planning perspective.
Supervise and mentor assembly technicians to maintain high standards of safety and workmanship
Collaborate with the Prefabrication Manager to plan and execute project requirements
Interpret electrical drawings and develop efficient assembly strategies
Create and modify 2D digital drawings for prefabrication using software tools
Coordinate preconstruction activities and attend project turnover meetings
Communicate effectively with project managers and field leadership
Troubleshoot and resolve production and workflow issues
Maintain inventory and coordinate material needs with purchasing agents
Document time, materials, and team hours using digital systems
Conduct quality control inspections and ensure compliance with standards
Completes job safety analysis forms once (or more) per day as tasks require
Promote a safety-first culture through daily job safety analysis and supervision
Requirements
Educational/Work Experience/Certifications
2 years electrical vocational school preferred
Leadership experience preferred.
Minimum of 4 yrs. related experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.
Skills/Abilities
Proficient in Microsoft 365, Bluebeam; AutoCAD experience is a plus
Strong understanding of NEC and NFPA 70E codes
Effective verbal and written communication skills
High attention to detail and sound judgment/decision-making abilities
Proactive learner with a desire to continuously improve and grow
Considerable organizational, coordination, and deadline driven abilities
Ability to coach and develop assembly teams skills to meet targeted goals
Ability to complete assigned projects with reasonable direction
Has successfully managed different project sizes of Commercial Electrical projects
Ability to appreciate how their department's work supports the organization as a whole
Able to evolve with the department to realize the organization's long-term goals
Familiarity with Trimble technology is a plus
Working Conditions
Must be comfortable working safely at all times while in an active fabrication shop environment
Shop Foreman/Lead to employ strict supervision of tasks to be completed by assembly team
Must maintain a clean and safe work area and adhere to zero-injury culture
Tasks assigned may include but are not limited to:
Lifting not to exceed fifty pounds
Cutting/grinding, welding and other hot work activities
Use of several types of saws on various materials
Use of drill press/various hand operated drilling equipment
Use of various pipe threading equipment (1/2”-6”)
Use of conduit bending equipment in various sizes and styles (1/2”-4”)
Lifting/rigging of heavy components (Work with overhead crane)
Equipment operation as needed.
Special Requirements
Valid PA Driver's License with ability to travel to job sites as needed
Background checks, screenings, and physicals
Maintain work area to acceptable safety and housekeeping standards

Duties and Responsibilities

Installs branch systems.

Job Qualifications
Skills & Educational Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalency.
Minimum of four years experience in the electrical trade.
Completion of a state-approved apprenticeship program, a plus.
Satisfactorily performs tasks at or above Apprentice Level 4.
Ability to properly lay out and administer small jobs (normally one to three team members)
Good working knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC).
Good mechanical aptitude
Confident, decisive, self-motivated, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must have reliable transportation to and from the assigned work location/office.

Repetitive use of hands includes: continuous grasping up to 50 lbs.; frequent pushing and pulling of 50 to 75 lbs.; and fine motor coordination for receptacle installation and wire terminations.
Repetitive use of feet is required for operating heavy equipment, conduit benders and vertical climbing.
Vision adequate for blueprint reading and color coding for wire identification.
Balance adequate for continuous climbing of ladders, scaffolds, and lifts and for working from heights.
Environmental factors may include working in temperature extremes of 0° F to 100° F up to 8 hours inside or outside and atmospheric exposure to dust, gases, fumes, and odors within the Permissible Exposure Limits (PEL).
Special hazards include exposure to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and potentially explosive hazards.
Personal protective equipment includes use of hard hat, safety glasses, protected-toe boots, and appropriate gloves for the task. Equipment on an "as needed" basis may include fall protection, dust mask, respirator, hearing protection, arc flash protective gear, and dielectrically insulated gloves and/or sleeves, etc.
