Position Responsibilities
+ Operates computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks. Performs electronic engineering support activities on R&D projects
+ Coordinates manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes and design requirements
+ Inspects completed installations and observes operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational & safety standards
+ Works with avionics, embedded systems and Radio Frequency (RF) links. Supports Flight Test operations, as needed
+ Troubleshoots complex systems. Documents designs with engineering drawings and written descriptions. Operates computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks
+ Performs design and analysis tasks under general supervision and may be involved in developing budgets, estimating labor, material and construction costs. Demonstrates familiarity with HDL programming, C/C++, PCB design process and UAV subsystems along with associated software
+ Assesses root cause to critical issues and contributes to sustainability and reliability of products. Consistent in demonstrating ability to research and re-engineer to propose alternate solutions to issues. Demonstrates full understanding & knowledge of engineering principles within the specific technical discipline
+ Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of variable factors. Makes decisions that have direct impact on project costs & schedule. Makes complex design decisions to meet stated requirements
+ Provides technical supervision across disciplines and leads a small team or project to accomplish established goals. May supervise the activities of others (Team Lead)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
+ Minimum of 8 - 12 years of relevant experience
+ Proficient with office software, computer-based productivity tools and other software tools in one's area of expertise
+ Experienced using Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout
+ Experienced in one or more areas: Radio Frequency (RF), embedded control, FPGA
+ Experienced with power electronics, including motors and Battery Technology (lead acid, Nickel metal hybrid & Lithium ion)
+ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex systems

The salary range for this role is:

About You

Electrical Engineer - Energy and Power These openings provide the opportunity to engage with our clients, evaluate their energy needs, develop concept-level plans and solutions, then take these through detailed design to provide for full execution of the solution. We offer and deliver a true "end to end" life-cycle service from exploration, development, operation, and repowering/retirement. Demonstrated abilities include a basic understanding of electrical engineering sciences. Prior experience in consulting and design will be highly regarded.
Your primary responsibilities will focus upon providing feasibility studies, construction documents and construction oversight for energy projects. You'll be expected to possess strong communication and problem-solving skills. Successful candidates will have a strong grasp of engineering fundamentals and the confidence to explore innovative solutions.

· Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering or related engineering discipline
· At least 4 years of design/consulting experience
· Demonstrated ability for developing design calculations, construction drawings and specifications.
· Strong communication and technical writing skills
· Ability to work independently with minor supervision once given guidance by lead engineer
Other highly regarded qualifications include Professional Registration as well as experience with:
· 3D modeling software such as Revit, AutoCAD, CADWorx and NavisWorks
· Power system modeling experience using SKM Power Tools, ETAP or similar modeling software
· Power distribution systems and microgrids
· Power generation projects exceeding 10MW capacity
· HV or MV Substations
· Renewable energy projects including wind, solar, hydro, geothermal and other technologies
· Energy storage systems
· Protection and Control, SCADA or power system automation
· Campus utility master planning or decarbonization/climate response planning
· Cogeneration or combined heat and power systems
· Thermal utility plants and distribution systems (steam, hot water, chilled water)
Professional Engineer (PE) OR the ability to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) within 1 year, preferred
