Project Overview:
Port Arthur LNG, LLC (PALNG) is developing a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on a site located on the western shoreline of the Port Arthur Canal in Jefferson County, Texas. The project base scope will include two (2) identical LNG trains, two (2) LNG Storage Tanks, one (1) LNG Carrier Berth, and associated utilities/facilities. The Project is to be constructed on a parcel of land located along State Highway 87 south of Port Arthur, Texas, between the inner coastal waterway bridge and Keith Lake. The Infrastructure Global Business Unit (GBU) is executing site civil and marine scopes of work associated with our scopes of work on the Energy GBU LNG projects.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will provide project field engineering specialization and expertise with work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and subcontract coordination. Your recommendations will ensure field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements. #LI-BH1
Major Responsibilities:

* Prepares construction drawings and sketches.

**What role you will play in our team**
The ElectricalEngineer, as part of the Engineering Services department at a major integrated petrochemical manufacturing facility, is responsible for the optimization, troubleshooting, and design of a wide variety of electrical equipment. + Coordinate projects for new or replacement equipment among engineering, maintenance, and operations

+ Serve as an electrical technology expert liaison between project engineers, plant maintenance, and operations personnel
+ Supports and interfaces with business teams to maintain and improve electrical reliability while reducing maintenance costs.

Position Purpose:
Provide instrument, controls, and electrical systems engineering support required to maintain all aspects of site instrumentation, controls, and electrical systems. Provide similar function in support of construction projects.
Primary Duties /Responsibilities:
Lead electrical and instrumentation projects and/or maintenance work to ensure compliance with the national electrical code and site permits
Participate in the development of project design concepts and criteria
Provide and modify instrument and electrical drawings as needed
Write and/or modify programs used by site programmable logic controllers, programmable drives, human machine interfaces, and distributive control systems
Prepare electrical and instrumentation estimates for projects
Act as a project manager or proposal manager on small, electrical and instrumentation projects
Monitor project progress for technical accuracy and adherence to schedule and budget
Represent respective projects at meetings and conferences
Provide technical support for the facility's instrument and electrical maintenance department
Qualifications
Education / Experience / Background:
3 - 5 years of experience in a similar position
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Working knowledge of various PLC and computer software packages
Fundamental understanding of the process safety management (PSM) standard is a plus

Performs quality assurance reviews of EPC Contractor's deliverables, material/equipment selections and inspects installation to ensure compliance with applicable acceptance criteria, codes, and standards for a successful start-up and commissioning of PALNG.
Participates in project design meetings, reviews, and workshops including HAZOP reviews and ETAP model reviews.
Supports the development electrical systems testing plans and procedures, drives improvement projects and MOCs, reviews test reports and conducts troubleshooting for site electrical equipment.
The SME to resolve electrical design, installation, and interface issues that arise at the project site during the startup and commissioning of the PALNG project.
Travel to manufacturing facilities to inspect assembly of electrical equipment and attend factory testing. Observes installation of electrical materials, equipment, and systems at project sites. Site acceptance Test (SAT)

What role you will play in our team
The ElectricalEngineer, as part of the Engineering Services department at a major integrated petrochemical manufacturing facility, is responsible for the optimization, troubleshooting, and design of a wide variety of electrical equipment. This involves time in the field ensuring that the installed electrical equipment contributes to safe, environmentally sound, reliable, and profitable operations. The ElectricalEngineer will be located in Beaumont TX.
What you will do
* Maintain close contact with operations, maintenance, engineering, and project development to identify and implement electrical equipment repairs and reliability improvements
* Design and specify electrical equipment such as motors, breakers, relays, generators, substations, buses, starters, transformers, and other industrial electrical equipment (480V to 230kV)
* Coordinate projects for new or replacement equipment among engineering, maintenance, and operations
* Commissioning, startup assistance, and support of electrical systems with maintenance personnel
* Serve as an electrical technology expert liaison between project engineers, plant maintenance, and operations personnel
* Supports and interfaces with business teams to maintain and improve electrical reliability while reducing maintenance costs.
* Participates in screening, optimization, basic design preparation for electric power systems
* Develops project scoping, design and detail specifications for electric power systems
* Monitors Engineering Quality Control and leads contractor's electrical work to ensure consistency with project specifications and guidelines
* Support preparation of Design Basis Memorandums and develop Specifications
* Provides technical support and services to operating facilities
* Performs power systems simulations and analyses, including load flow, short circuit, motor starting and reacceleration, arc flash, transient stability and relay coordination
* Updates Company practices and specifications
* Applies ExxonMobil Global Practices, Design Practices, General Information and Instructions, codes and standards in support of projects during the detailed design phase
* Participates actively in the Electrical Community of Practice
* Participates in incident investigations in support of assets
* Performs Risk Assessments and develops Equipment Strategies in support of assets
* Manages electrical area classification for assets within the facility supported
About you
Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in ElectricalEngineering
* Demonstrated industry experience with power systems as an ElectricalEngineer
* 5+ years experienced preferred
Preferred Qualifications/ Experience:
* Ability to work with a wide variety of personnel at different levels of engineering, design, maintenance, and management
* Ability to work with internal customers as well as suppliers and repair facilities of electrical equipment
* Good interpersonal skills
* Ability to communicate effectively and clearly in both written and verbal form for the purpose of instructing others in technical matters and obtaining cooperation from various personnel.
* Problem solving / troubleshooting of electrical systems
* Knowledge of Electrical Safety standards and Area Electrical Classification standards (API, NFPA, NEC, and NETA)
* Knowledge of SKM Modeling, System Studies, and Coordination
* Willing to travel domestically or internationally in support of electrical equipment construction or repairs
* Work experience in operating units/plants/facilities and awareness of surroundings from a safety and environmental point of view
