Electrical Design Engineer

The Role
We're seeking a Designer I who has a background in the electrical field to join our Design department! In this role, youll helpdesign and develop electrical construction drawings and specifications that reflect aesthetic, functional, and manufacturing requirements. The Designer I role also researches and analyzes the intended use of products and user preferences. What You'll Do
Design within the department's compliance with risk management.
Use and maintain design standards.
Review design Revit, AutoCAD, or Bluebeam drawings from technicians to verify accuracy.
Consider green initiatives in the design process.
What You Bring (Required Experience)
Three (3) years of experience with NFPA 70E, including but not limited to:
Performing branch circuit and service load calculations
Analyzing electrical equipment layouts for required working clearance
Selection and sizing of overcurrent protective devices, conductors, conductors, conduits, etc.
Three (3) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in electrical design.
The ability to understand and interpret electrical drawings (layouts, one-line, panel schedules, photometrics)
Familiarity with lighting design, controls, fixture selection, and photometric requirements.
The ability to Communicate clearly and in a professional manner
Proficient in the use of Bluebeam.
Basic proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Valid drivers license.
Bonus Points For (Preferred Experience)
Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
Three (3) years of experience in electrical design in the MEP field.
Electrical Journeymans and/or Masters license
Knowledge of applicable codes and standards is preferred (NEC, UL, NEMA).
Wisconsin Designers License/designer stamp preferred or willingness to obtain in the future.
