Primary Purpose of Position
Performs advanced technical/engineering problem solving in support of nuclear plant operations while acting as a resource and technical expert to engineers. Responsible for technical decisions. Possesses excellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application and has detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs.
Provide technical expertise and consultation through direct involvement and as a subject matter expert when consulted to identify and resolve equipment and system problems
Directly fulfill engineering and technical leadership accountability regarding short-term and long-term programs that impact site operations
Perform engineering tasks as assigned by supervision applying engineering principles.
Accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work ensuring proper configuration management and assuring that standard design criteria, practices, procedures and codes are used in preparation of plans and specifications.
Perform independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of technical projects and programs.
Recommend equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design or material flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.
Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Mid-level E02 Engineer
Bachelor&rsquos degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical or nuclear) with 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience

Design and review of automation/control system integration hardware, electrical designs, wireless designs, BUS technology designs, specifications, architectures and Bill Of Materials (BOM).
Procurement, tracking, setup, fabrication, staging, testing and shipment of the system hardware and control enclosures.
Development, review and execution of Hardware Factory Acceptance Test (HFAT) protocols.
Construction Scope of Work: Assisting in the development and documentation of construction packages with expected growth to manage this activity with minimum to no supervision.
Site support activities: Assisting in installation, commissioning, and startup activities with expected growth to manage this activity with minimum to no supervision.
Sales support activities: Includes reviewing requests for proposal, identifying and estimating proposal scope and schedules as they relate to E&I activities.
AutoCAD: A working knowledge of the use of AutoCAD a plus but not required.
Control System Software: Able to read and modify control logic including physical layer (I/O details), continuous configuration (control module) a plus but not required.
Participate in the maintenance and development of department standards for AutoCAD and automation design tool libraries.

Experience at the EE II level or equivalent

Experience supporting manufacturing operations and customer-driven engineering requests
Industrial electricalengineering experience - controls, motion, power distribution, safety standards
