The Adjunct - Information Systems Technology position provides quality instruction and maintains a positive learning environment in the classroom, with major emphasis placed on teaching, supporting and evaluating students. The Adjunct role provides instruction and monitors teaching/learning effectiveness in courses assigned by the Department Chair, or other leadership members. Qualifications: • High School diploma or GED preferred. • A group exercise instructor certification required. Preferably an NCCA accredited certification. • Nationally recognized NCCA Personal Trainer certification accepted for conducting strength and conditioning group fitness classes that are not licensed formats requiring a specific certification (Yoga, Pilates, Zumba, Les Mills, MOSSA, BARRE, Aqua, Cycle, etc).• Certification for some specialty group exercise class instruction is required. • Minimum 2 years of experience in group class instruction, teaching a variety of styles, levels and population preferred. • CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of hire (provided by Power Wellness) • Must possess excellent inter-personal and communication skills, and the ability to work with members in a positive, service based manner. • Ability to multi-task and maintain a controlled and professional demeanor.
