How You Will Impact Smurfit Westrock:

Collaborate with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic technicians to resolve complex operational issues.
Participate in root cause analysis of failures to implement corrective actions and improve machine reliability.
Provide support for mechanical maintenance tasks as needed to ensure production uptime including predictive and preventative maintenance.
What You Need to Succeed:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician, preferably in a manufacturing environment (corrugated, paper, or heavy industry experience is a significant plus).
Proven experience working with 480V three-phase systems and various control voltages.
Proficiency with electrical test equipment (e.g., multimeters, ammeters, megohmmeters).
Expert knowledge of electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
Strong aptitude for troubleshooting and programming PLCs and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
Massachusetts Electrical license or the equivalent certification
Willingness to work on both mechanical and electrical projects.
Excellent safety awareness and commitment to safe work practices.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle emergency repairs under pressure.

The CNC Electrician/Installer will assist in assembling electrical panels and enclosures that comprise our CNC Retrofit Packages. The individual will utilize skills including, but not limited to, cutting, drilling, wiring, and installing various components on panels and electrical enclosures. Qualified individuals must demonstrate knowledge of reading electrical prints, panel building assembly, and control wiring of components such as power circuits, VFDs, PLCs, circuit breakers, transformers, relays, and contactors. Once the CNC system fabrication work is complete and tested, the CNC Electrician/Installer will be responsible for breaking down and packaging the components for transport, with guidance from our Shipping Coordinator.Jobsite (field installation) duties will include the removal of existing Electrical Cabinet and/or electrical components, as well as the installation and wiring of the CNC retrofit package. Throughout the assembly and installation process, the CNC Electrician/Installer will be required to support the Project Engineer to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical quality issues.Training will be included, installation of robotics and additive solutions may also be included.

Major Responsibilities:

* Interprets information from various test equipment, documentation and verbal information from operations with respect to a given problem to expedite repair of equipment;
* Responsible for installing, improving or modifying electrical, controls and instrumentation equipment as requested;
* Provides project support to electrical, instrumentation and electrical control systems projects as necessary;
* Interacts and works with engineering, construction services and manufacturing personnel in a team environment;
* Be involved in continuous improvement and reliability improvement processes;
* Responsible for testing, calibration, and preventive maintenance (PMs) of electrical equipment and instrumentation;
* Maintains accurate records of electrical systems and tests, calibrations and PM (Preventative Maintenance) performed;
* Improves personal knowledge of electrical systems and equipment operation in effort to improve quality and efficiency, reduce equipment downtime and minimize need for outside services;
* Maintaining strong safety awareness and knowledge of plant electrical processes and safety procedures;

* Responds quickly to avoid and correct unsafe conditions and maintains equipment to ensure safe operations;
* Performs interactive safety training, and always wears all required personal protective equipment (PPE);
* Performs appropriate Lockout/Tagout Procedures for all machinery and equipment repairs including troubleshooting problems with existing and new installations;
* Maintains good housekeeping practices within area and participate in department safety and housekeeping activities.

How You Will Impact Smurfit Westrock:
Focus on maintaining equipment in working order through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical failures in a fast-paced environment.
Enforce plant safety regulations and encourage employees to become safety conscious.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on electrical equipment, including motors, motor control centers (MCCs), transformers, switches, and wiring.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical faults in complex machinery such as corrugators, printing presses, die cutters, and material handling systems.
Troubleshoot and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs).
Install, maintain, and calibrate various sensors, transducers, and measuring instruments.
Ensure all electrical installations and repairs comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and company standards.
Strictly adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and other plant safety policies.
Maintain and repair high-voltage equipment and control systems.
Keep accurate records of all maintenance work performed, parts used, and system documentation.
Assist with the installation and commissioning of new production equipment and control systems.
Collaborate with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic technicians to resolve complex operational issues.
Participate in root cause analysis of failures to implement corrective actions and improve machine reliability.
Provide support for mechanical maintenance tasks as needed to ensure production uptime including predictive and preventative maintenance.
What You Need to Succeed:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician, preferably in a manufacturing environment (corrugated, paper, or heavy industry experience is a significant plus).
Proven experience working with 480V three-phase systems and various control voltages.
Proficiency with electrical test equipment (e.g., multimeters, ammeters, megohmmeters).
Expert knowledge of electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
Strong aptitude for troubleshooting and programming PLCs and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
Massachusetts Electrical license or the equivalent certification
Willingness to work on both mechanical and electrical projects.
Excellent safety awareness and commitment to safe work practices.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle emergency repairs under pressure.
Excellent communication skills
High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree or technical certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
Ability to work in a loud, fast-paced industrial environment, which may include exposure to heat, dust, and chemicals.
This role is primarily the first shift; however, the successful candidate must be willing to work shifts, weekends, and on-call as required to support operations.
The starting rate is$34-40 per hour based on experience, depending on your role, level, and location. The Shift Maintenance Electrician is responsible for supporting and promoting all company goals including an injury free work environment through safe work practices. The incumbent evaluates, diagnoses, analyzes, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs electrical (& mechanical) functions of the extrusion process including but not limited to, all electrical equipment, instrumentation and electrical / computerized process control systems. Major Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, maintain and repair of all related electrical equipment & electrical instrumentation in areas of responsibility;
Responds to equipment breakdowns and returns to operation as expeditiously as possible to minimize equipment downtime & production losses;
Interprets information from various test equipment, documentation and verbal information from operations with respect to a given problem to expedite repair of equipment;
Responsible for installing, improving or modifying electrical, controls and instrumentation equipment as requested;

Be involved in continuous improvement and reliability improvement processes;
