Job Description Seeking ambitious, energetic, motivated, organized and creative individual for an Equipment role in the Long Beach area (officially called the Port of Los Angeles) . The primary focus of the role is on the installation, maintenance, monitoring, repair and development of supplemental automation technology on a variety of terminal vehicles including trucks, tractors, cranes and heavy lifts. Training will be provided on the company's specific environment. Key Responsibilities Strong ability to learn how to use, program, install, and troubleshoot new proprietary equipment ranging from a variety of technologies including RFID, OCR, Infrared, GPS, and digital displays. Field work and troubleshooting in the field on equipment (trucks, cranes, gates). Perform root cause analysis for field issues, provides corrective actions. Office work utilizing IT systems and proprietary application resources for projects. Coordinate and communicate between different vendors and terminal departments to properly and efficiently keep automation systems running smoothly.
