The Electro-Mechanical Technician will have the following attributes:

This person will be responsible to work with our team of technicians to conduct testing, disassembly, restoration (training provided), reassemble, and troubleshoot the items mentioned above.
This position works primarily in our shop, but sometimes can take place in all kinds of environments after losses occur. Many times the loss sites are hot and without power.
The ideal candidate will be an individual who loves to tinker with electronics/computers. This individual should demonstrate a team spirit, positive attitude, wise judgment, flexibility and patience with regard to fast changes in job demands. This person must execute tasks quickly and correctly as most jobs are time-sensitive, while demonstrating empathy as they work with customers in their most difficult moments.

What You'll Do:
Assemble, modify, and repair developmental electronic circuit boards
Diagnose and repair PCBA assemblies down to the component level
Build and troubleshoot prototype circuits for R&D and warranty investigations
Operate test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and power supplies
Read and interpret technical documentation-schematics, BOMs, debug guides, and test procedures
Work with Engineering and Customer Service teams to analyze board failures and improve product performance
Collaborate on quality goals and diagnostic efficiency
Maintain safety and cleanliness standards in the Electronics Lab

Requirements What You Bring:
2-5 years of experience in prototype board assembly and troubleshooting
Proficiency in soldering (through-hole and SMT), and strong knowledge of electronic theory
Experience with lab test equipment and PCB diagnostics

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those typical in an electronics lab/productive environment. Tool use is required. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud, including the sounds of forklifts, tools, and machinery. Work is generally performed near moving mechanical parts. In some instances personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required in this work environment.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate would have prior experience in field and bench instrumentation and controls best practices and procedures that support the duties, responsibilities and skill sets required of an Industrial Instrumentation and Controls Technician. The position deals with water, wastewater, reclaimed water treatment and lift station equipment such as, but not limited to the following; PLC's ( Allen Bradley, Schneider ), HMI'S, Flow meters ( Magnetic, differential pressure, ultrasonic ), pressure and level transducers ( radar, ultrasonic, diaphragm ), actuators ( electric, pneumatic ), Ultra Violet disinfection and chemical water treatment systems. Minimum Education/Experience
