Job Description The Controls Technician is responsible for the installation and repair of control systems. They must have a thorough understanding of HVAC systems sequence of operations (Hydronics, AHUs, VAVs, etc.). The controls technician will program, commission, diagnose, and troubleshoot various DDC systems. Knowledge of testing equipment, gauges, meters, tools, math, and blueprint comprehension are necessary to accurately document malfunctions, diagnose, troubleshoot, and program control systems. They will also apply judgment and discretion when dealing with the testing and repair of these systems.
