This position will report to the Taylor ASU Facility Superintendent and will work with regional Reliability Team to achieve reliability goals. Purpose: This role will provide technical execution of installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks on relevant instrumentation, controls, analytical, electrical and mechanical systems for ASU's, hydrogen electrolyzers, backup systems, purifier buildings and associated equipment to continuously supply quality product safely, complying with all environmental regulations and daily customer requirements. This role will operate bulk gas plants, electrolyzers and purifiers as needed. Key Responsibilities: Understand and adhere to company safety work policies and operating practices. Report safety incidents and near misses. Startup, operate, and maintain air separation and bulk gas delivery systems, including associated tanks, purifiers, controls, and fill/offload systems. Troubleshoot shutdowns and perform corrective maintenance to allow equipment/plant restarts. Coordinate scheduling of planned maintenance and perform some preventative maintenance on system components. Operate units to continuously supply products at the appropriate quantities and qualities safely and economically, complying with all environmental regulations and daily customer requirements. Job Description The Technician is a heavy equipment mechanic that specializes in maintaining and repairing cranes. Perform OSHA required hoist and crane inspections and generating inspection reports and repair orders. Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles in a safe and responsible manner. Notify immediate supervisor of any deficiencies. Maintain the ability to work with others in team environment. DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED required. Valid Texas Driver's License rated Class "C" or higher with insurable record. Minimum Experience: None, will train upon employment. Desired Experience: Water distribution operations or operations in a relatable field. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must attend the required education and training to maintain required certifications. Obtain Class "D" Water Distribution license within eighteen (18) months from date of employment. Obtain Class "C" Water Distribution license within three (3) years from date of employment. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of equipment, materials, methods and procedures used in water distribution operations; Knowledge of safety procedures and practices related to excavation, confined space entry, trenching, dangerous gases, and other water distribution operations; Ability to evaluate and perform the technical operations of the SCADA system; Ability to perform and diagnose water quality control testing; Ability to work, drive and operate a variety of vehicles and equipment safely and effectively; Ability to obtain/maintain licenses as required by Federal and State laws; Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; Ability to read and understand technical manuals and map; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees and other departments, and the public; Ability to monitor, read, interprets various diagrams, devices; chart gauges, and correctly interpret and react to those interpretations; Ability to learn the characteristics of individual pump stations, and water storage facilities. TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED: Various motorized vehicles including pickup truck (w/trailer), medium sized equipment, various power tools, tampers/compactors, lawn maintenance equipment/tools, cut-off saws, chain saws, jackhammers, pneumatic valve machines, and tapping machines. Various common hand tools, shovels, wrenches, safety equipment such as SCBA's and harnesses, and/or any other tool or equipment inherent to the job.
