Follow established policies and procedures to ensure proper working order. Assist in field or production activities such as data collection, equipment or machine design, testing, quality control and efficiency studies. Qualifications: Must have a High School or equivalent and appropriate Trade School or related Armed Forces School and at least 3 years of related experience. Must have experience in engineering studies and analysis of actual and/or proposed shore-site installations. Must be able to perform facility visits to verify dimensions, interfaces, power availability, tolerances, and other installation factors. Job Description: Ideal candidate: Flexible with overtime during the week when necessary. Rarely will they need to work over 12 hours in a day. Preferring bachelor's degree in Bioscience or Engineering. Technical writing and basic data analysis skills. Plus: Hands on lab experience Position involves support of senior staff in the initiation, design, and delivery of projects, particularly for primary containers (vials, stoppers, and syringes) and medical devices. Top Must Have Skill Sets: • Technical writing skills • Strong ability to analyze data generated from a variety of analytical techniques and systems is preferred • Previous lab experience in Engineering or Biochemistry labs is helpful but not required • Nice to have: CAD experience Day to Day Responsibilities: • Employing basic science and engineering skills and practices to gather user requirements and translate them into technical documentation for execution • Assisting with project definition by performing engineering studies and assessments • Assist engineers with the following: • Designing studies and drafting protocols • Compiling historical data from different analytical systems • Analyzing data and presenting results • Writing summary reports • Executing protocols, including lab testing (using vacuum decay leak tester, Instron force testers, balances, microscopes, pressure chambers, analytical measurement equipment such as calipers, optical comparators, bore gauges, automated stoppering units, pipettes, and decrimpers). Technicians perform very detailed technician functions associated with back-end manufacturing to produce mission critical products and devices. Attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination and excellent hand dexterity is essential to operate tools and equipment to perform functions such as testing, tuning, troubleshooting and repairing millimeter and microwave frequency components. You are responsible for: * Launching and testing circuits in fixtures to specifications * Biasing FETs (Field Effect Transistor) and/or transistors * Testing and tuning standard catalog amplifiers from 10MHz to 18GHz * Participating in continuous improvement and team building activities. Maintains productive working relationships with all team members * Applying RF fundamentals including but not limited to RF Gain, Gain Flatness, Gain Matching Return Loss P1 dB Compression, phase/phase tracking * Proficiency in RF theory and principals * Testing for gain, gain flatness, noise figure, VSWR, P1dB, IP3 and phase * Calibration of test equipment * Tuning and troubleshooting * Proficiency in operating test equipment like DC power supplies, RF signal generators, scalar and network analyzers * Understanding DC theory (Ohm's Law) * Following ESD procedures Required Qualifications: * High School Diploma * Typically 3-5 years experience testing and tuning electronic devices * Familiar with computers (Microsoft Office Suite) * Ability to clearly communicate in written and spoken English * US citizen holding, or eligible to obtain, a DoD Secret clearance Preferred Qualifications: * AS degree preferred * Supervisory experience * Preferred experience in tuning RF thin film circuits This position requires you to have or obtain a government security clearance.
