Primary Responsibilities: * Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction in Physical Science and Earth & Space Science * Potentially teach Junior High Science courses as assigned * Develop and implement lesson plans that promote inquiry, critical thinking, and real-world application * Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners * Assess and monitor student progress and provide timely feedback * Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment * Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum planning and school improvement efforts * Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff * Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development Qualifications: * Valid Kansas teaching license with appropriate Science endorsement (or ability to obtain) (K-9 preferred) * Strong content knowledge in Physical Science and/or Earth & Space Science * Ability and willingness to work with both junior high and high school students * Effective classroom management and organizational skills * Strong communication and collaboration skills * Commitment to student success and continuous professional growth Preferred Qualities: * Experience teaching middle school and/or high school science * Familiarity with hands-on labs, inquiry-based learning, and technology integration * Enthusiasm for building positive relationships with students Application Process: Interested candidates should submit an application, resume, cover letter, and references through the Caney Valley Schools application process.
