Recognizes signs of cardiopulmonary arrest and/or failure and assists in performing CPR procedures. Also must be able to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias or EKG strips. Modifies therapy to deal with adverse or ineffective patient response and reports changes to shift supervisor.
